Gwennol at Fron Haul Reviews

Elaine
The lodge is very very nice, the pictures do not do it justice, the property is well maintained with every thing you need, the hot tub is checked daily for the water quality, which was very helpful as you had confidence in going in daily.
Samantha
You wont be disappointed if you book to stay here. It has a wow factor when you first arrive and when you are able to take a longer look around you realise that everything is catered for and is top quality. The views from the balcony across the valley to the hills are stunning and if the weather is a little inclement there is a covered area so that you can still enjoy the outside space and stay outside. The Hot tub is also perfect for sitting in with great views of the countryside, we were lucky to experience and enjoy three rainbows from the hot tub. The bedrooms are comfortable and the floor to ceiling windows offer a perfect view whilst lying in bed. Its a great base for visiting North Wales with Langollen and Wrexham half an hr away with Snowdon a little further afield. The local Town of Ruthin has a couple of supermarkets ,local bars, cafes and restaurants. It even has a wetherspoons. Vicki is always on hand if you have any questions and its the little touches that make this such a lovely place to stay like the Jar of sweets, the Welcome pack and a record player if your feeling nostalgic. Hot tub towels are provided as are toiletries, there is nothing that they haven't considered. This is one of the best Holiday properties we have stayed in and i would thoroughly recommend it.
An excellent holiday house for our family of five. This is one of the best holiday houses we have visited.
Brandon
Absolutely beautiful property, couldnt ask for anything more. Comfortable, stylish and has every touch you could think of. The owners are amazing and make you feel so welcome! They are brilliant with the kids too. Definitely will be coming here frequent
Suzanne
WOW!!! This place was absolutely stunning. The house itself was spotless and accommodated my family of 6 perfectly. The views from the massive hot tub where just beautiful. The hosts Vicky and her husband Grant couldnt do anymore to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They kept the grounds and hot tub pristine and even let us pick fresh eggs every morning from the chicken coop. The little town was literally down the road with some pubs and shops. Cant wait to book for next year. Thanks.
WOW!! This place is a real gem ! Vicky and Grant were great hosts, cant recommend enough, thank you for the lovely welcome basket of goodies, jar of sweets and fresh eggs from the hens every morning! Every detail thought of and the outside area with BBQ, hot tub and seating area with TV is amazing! Within walking distance of Ruthin, the hill is quite steep walking back but definitely needed after the Fish and Chips from Finns in the village, homemade chicken curry is a must too. We will definitely be back!
Really nice modern property with everything needed. Undercover hot tub and BBQ area a real treat. Very comfy beds and sofas. Vicky, the lovely host was very friendly and helpful even loaning a football for my teenage grandchildren to play with. Had a lovely week and would recommend the property to anyone.
Elaine
Thank you for the opportunity to stay in such a brilliant modern lodge the hot spa was brilliant it did wonders for our old bones! We really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this venue to everyone. The views, peace and quiet being a bonus. Hosts were exceptional going above& beyond to enhance our stay We look forward to visiting in the future.
The house was lovely. It contained everything you could possibly want. The BBQ and Hot tub area with outdoor kitchen and seating was the best bit but everything had obviously been thought about with no expense spared. We had an amazing week and would definitely return.
Joanna
Great property, they have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Lovely host, hot tub and bbq area are fantastic and the kids loved the chickens.
Michael
We had a wonderful stay at Fron Haul ,excellent lodge, very comfortable in beautiful surroundings. Vicky the owner what a lovely lady, most helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Absolutely wonderful stay. The property was faultlessly clean and the attention to detail by the owners made it so enjoyable. It is set in beautiful surroundings which makes it so relaxing. Will definitely be returning. Would recommend this property to anyone. Also the owners will go out of their way to help in any way possible.
Fron Haul is a lovely place to stay. We had a lovely friendly welcome from Vicky the owner who was helpful and only too happy to help with anything. A modern, open plan property with furnishing to match. Spotlessly clean. A very good and tasty welcome pack and the prosecco cooling by the hot tub was a lovely surprise. 3 good sized bedrooms with one downstairs which for a member of our party made things a little easier. The upstairs balcony with bbq, hot tub, large table and chairs, and heating is a joy to sit and socialise, watch TV. The kitchen is well equipped. Comfortable sofas to sit and relax with bifold doors giving views to the lovely countryside surrounding the property. A rear patio with table and chairs was lovely to sit and have lunch. We had a great stay and a unusual surprise was being able to collect our own eggs from the hens opposite the house. A lovely touch and they were delicious! Fron Hau is a great base for visiting other areas. We did walk into the local town Ruthin about 40 minutes on a narrow, busy road. Not recommended if there are young children in the party. There is parking in town and a few supermarkets there to stock up! To sum up, we had a smashing time in a lovely property. Was very quiet and peaceful and our batteries were fully recharged. I would happily recommend a stay here and would definitely return.
The property and owners were absolutely amazing, collecting our own eggs from their chickens, great views from the hot tub, clean house with generous welcome pack. Could not fault them, but Sykes system is not good, misrepresenting what we paid for and length of stay, then reminding us of the rules for leaving early in the morning the day before we left so felt we were ending our holiday early!!
A group of 12 adults shared both Robin Goch and From Haul recently, three couples in each and what a fabulous time we had. From the Setting, the decor, the cleanliness, the amenities, everything was at the property that we needed. We received a very warm welcome from Vicky who couldn't do enough to make our stay more perfect. She was on hand for everything we needed. The Welcome Pack, the Prosecco and the Jar of sweets were an extra special touch. We loved collecting fresh eggs from the Chickens and enjoyed the relaxing fish pond too. We would very highly recommend a stay at these beautiful Lodges and look forward to planning another holiday at From Haul.
Deborah
Absolutely fantastic place! Beautiful location, wonderful hosts, the house has everything you need. The outside space with Hot tub was amazing, bedrooms were great with really comfy beds and bedding. Kitchen fully stocked with all you would need. The welcome hamper and sweet jar was a really thoughtful gesture! The outside space with the chickens was brilliant, fresh eggs daily and our son absolutely adored helping Vicky with the daily maintenance! Thank you Vicky!! Again, the hosts were just so lovely, we will most certainly be returning after years of self catering holidays we have found our holiday retreat!! All have come home sad to leave but fully refreshed after a week at Fron Haul!
Hands down Best Holiday home in the area. Beautifully prepared, Clean and well thought out. Quiet, private grounds. Vicky is probably the Best host you could wish for. Helpful and patient especially with the kids. Covered Hot Tub and Outdoor kitchen just makes holidays More fun. The Hens and their fresh eggs are a treat in the morning!! Kids LOVED!! Highly recommend. Hope to return!
It's taken me a year to get around to writing a review, this place is by far the best place we've stayed. The out side kitchenBBQ hot tub area is a game changer, I spent most of the week out there making tea, watching TV an jumping in and out of the hot tub. Vicky and Grant went and beyond, bringing games for the kids and helping us out with what to do and where to go. Kids really enjoyed getting fresh eggs from the chickens every day. Thanks for a lovely stay
