Little Nook Reviews

We had a brilliant stay here at the start of the new year and cannot recommend this property enough. The beds were spotless and all the rooms were just so clean. There was a beautiful Christmas tree which kept the holiday feeling going. The log burner was fantastic, and it was a joy to move all the furniture around it so we could have a cosy night in. In addition, we timed it just before the snow landed as well, so the surrounding areas were majestic!

Little Nook is a modern cottage with plenty of character, it was spotlessly clean, warm & cosy with everything you need, located in a small village where everyone was really friendly, enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Berwyn Restaurant a few minutes walk away & dinner at The Blue Lion in the next village
Pamela
Lovely property in a small friendly village. The accommodation was like a small barn conversion, very clean, with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Would have been nice to have had a bedside cabinet or a larger shelf by the bed used a box to put my glasses, book etc on!
One bedroom could do with a king size bed just for the larger person otherwise perfect
Danielle
What a lovely property, in a beautiful location and a great base in which to travel to other beauty spots around the area. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this to others. Nice touch and welcome to arrive to the Welsh cakes and a loaf of bread thank you very much.
Situated in a quiet, pretty village with a handy shop and a first class restaurant Little Nook is an ideal base from which to explore the scenic surrounding countryside and picturesque towns nearby. The property is spotlessly clean with a well equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge area. As a party of 3 in our late 70s we would have preferred another chair rather than a bench at the dining table but that might not be an issue for some. The bedrooms are quite small and lacking in storage or even a chair on which to put your clothes overnight but the beds are comfortable, there are lovely views from the windows and the showers are excellent. We did miss a shower mat. Outside there us ample parking and the gravelled garden is charming. Overall we can highly recommend Little Nook and would rate it 4.5 if that was an option. It's almost perfect.
Patricia
Fantastic cottage in a great location an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area. The Little Nook is beautifully presented, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms enjoyed spectacular views over the hills. The highlight for us was the lovely, private terrace under the vines. A fantastic space to relax with a drink and a bbq after sunny days spent discovering the delights of this gorgeous part of Wales. Thanks to Steve and Vic for being such thoughtful owners and only a call away if needed. We certainly had a wonderful week and wouldnt hesitate to recommend The Little Nook to others.
We had a great time in the little nook. The layout is superb and had all the facilities you could need. The Welsh cakes were brilliant. Thanks again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Little Nook, sun every day which always helps! A quiet, comfortable, clean, well maintained property. Well equipped the only thing missing is a hair dryer!
Norman
Excellent even though we were snowed in view was brilliant just need a local pub to walk to
Rachel
We had a lovely 3 night stay here , would definitley recommend!
I came to stay here this week with my boyfriend as a nice little getaway for us. This little home was beautiful, the high ceiling as you enter really caught my attention, I love how open and light it was, the fire place was stunning, we loved the cosy little living room space to watch tv, blankets came in handy too! The house was very clean and everything was supplied for us. The outside archway to the doors was gorgeous, and seeing the views of the fields and sheep from our bedrooms was amazing, we loved being surrounded by nature. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay, location was perfect for us, nice and quiet town but near plenty of destinations for us to visit. Will definitely be coming back! Amy & Josh.
Yvonne
The cottage was fabulous. Well equipped , clean& lots of equipment. Even a BBQ& outside seating. I would recommend both Little Nook& Sykes holidays. If fact my son has booked next year's holiday on Anglesey with Sykes.
Property was excellent. Biggest disappointment was that we had planned on using the local pub, but it had obviously been closed for some time.
Beautiful little cottage in a small village. Everything was provided. Very clean and cosy. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Steve and Vic.
Ronald
Lovely cottage meeting all our needs 2 bedrooms with on suite facilities set in a beautiful village with a good restaurant. Owners very friendly and helpful. Good location for exploring the area would highly recommend it.
This was one of the best places I've stayed. Really clean and comfortable cottage with a nice 'symmetrical' design aesthetic to the room layouts. Has all the equipment you need without being at all cluttered so still feels spacious. Location is in a very quiet villages which suited us well for this trip... country walks on the doorstep and lots of natural sights a short drive away.
Miranda
The cottage was lovely and very comfortable in a pretty village with amazing countryside around. Steve and Vic were great and so accommodating a storm blew out the WiFi while we were there and they arranged for a replacement box the next day! I would heartily recommend this as a place to stay and please try the Berwyn Restaurant....one of the best meals I'd had for a long time.
We loved Little Nook. It was very well equipped, well presented and very comfortable. We were also delighted to have had a superb restaurant within a short walk of the property. The only slight disappointment was the lack of view from the garden, and being hemmed in by other properties.
Carole
We loved our stay at Little Nook. When we arrived there was a welcome pack and useful information about the area which we found very useful. Little Nook is clean and comfortable with everything you need. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends and would return again if staying in the area in the future.
Philip
We had a lovely relaxing stay at the property and would definitely visit again. The Christmas themed welcome box was also a particularly nice touch and suprise. The cottage is extremely well equipped, very cosy and within walking distance of the nearby town. It is also conveniently located to many other attractions in Wales.
Darren
We stayed at Little Nook over the Christmas holidays, and loved absolutely everything about it. Great hosts, very responsive, who left lovely welcome gifts, the property was very clean, spacious, and with everything we could need for our stay. Little Nook was in a great position, ideal, and central for those who like a walk around surrounding beauty spots. Plenty garden, and parking space for 4 cars. We would like to thank hosts S & V for making our stay perfect, and would recommend to anyone thinking of booking.
Vincent
Excellent property. Very clean with everything you need for a quiet break.
Stephen
Little nook is a fantastic property, in a picturesque village. It's perfect for 2 couples who want to go on holiday together, with the completely separate bedrooms and on suite bathrooms . It has everything you need on holiday. Steve and Vic are the perfect host. They are there if you need them, but not intrusive . It's perfectly placed for any where you want to visit in north Wales, everywhere is within about a hours drive.i would definitely recommend little nook to anyone who is looking to visit north Wales
We had a lovely stay at Little Nook. Property is clean, comfortable and contemporary. The owners kept in touch via email before we went with ideas of things to do and places to visit which is a nice touch and we had a welcome pack too. The scenery in area is stunning,we didnt have great weather but we managed to go to the places we wanted to go to. The village is very peaceful and the food at the Berwyn restaurant is superb and run by a very friendly couple. Added bonus is it a short stroll from the accommodation
Jyoshna
Beautiful, comfy and well equipped cottage. Set in a quiet location with great views from the bedrooms. We had a really nice time staying at the cottage and the welcome goodies from the property owners were such a lovely and generous surprise. Id love to come back again, and would definitely recommend to friends and family
Donald
Really enjoyed our stay at Little Nook. Clean, comfortable and small outdoor garden shaded by grape vines and with the added bonus of a bbq. The meal in the Berwyn Restaurant within walking distance was excellent.
We stayed at Little Nook during August bank holiday week and it was absolutely wonderful. It was really tidy, clean and the decor was modern with a home feel to it. The welcome gift and the booklet of useful information was a fabulous touch and a lovely gesture as we didn't know the area very well. Little Nook was really well situated as we managed to travel to many places in less than an hour. We had a problem with the water pressure on our second day due to a burst water pipe nearby and Steve the owner keep us in the loop of what was happening with the water company and also kindly left a pack of water for us it was really appreciated. Steve and Vic also recommended nearby waterfalls to try out! The only downside was there wasn't a view from the garden of the beautiful scenery. You can only see it out the bedroom windows BUT the garden was stunning with the grape vines and roses over the pergola. We would definitely stay here again when we are next in Wales. Thank you Steve and Vic!
Hilary
This was our second stay at Little Nook. The property is clean and there are lots of facilities provided. Great to have ensuite bathrooms for both bedrooms which are at opposite sides of the house. It is in a good spot for travelling to different areas and the on site parking appreciated. Plenty of good places to eat including the nearby Blue Lion and in Llangollen.
The facilities are first class. Kitchen is well equipped and the two bedrooms and ensuites are well equipped, comfortable and we appreciated the shower. Everything is very modern and worked! The two bedrooms are upstairs and downstairs is spacious with the kitchen and a reasonable size living area and TV. We were only a single couple so for two couples would be more compact but still good. A good restaurant in town and a couple of good pubs with food within 34 miles.
Angela
I stayed at Little Nook with my husband and two children and it was the perfect base for our stay. The property was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. The kids loved the collection of board games! The booking process was very easy and the property was just as described with lovely views. I really liked the layout with a bedroom and ensuite on either side of the property. We had a wonderful stay and the location was ideal for visiting the many places of interest in North Wales. I would love to come back in the future and will definitely be recommending Little Nook to family and friends.
Louise
It was our first time visiting North Wales and we had a fabulous time. The property didn't disappoint and was very comfortable and clean, with every amenity provided. The gifts on arrival were also very much appreciated. The surrounding area did not disappoint either, with lots of places to visit and lots to do and it was lovely listening to the sound of sheep in a nearby field, early in the morning.
Little Nook was ideal for us two couples. The accommodation was spotless and well equiped, and is ideally placed for visiting numerous places of interest within the North Wales area. A good wifi connection was also very much appreciated. The one village shop is well stocked and the Berwyn Restaurant is a great place to eat and only a short walk away.
Michael
A well presented cottage and very clean. Beds were very comfy but the en suites are very cramped . The Web site still shows there's a local pub but there isn't so that needs changing on the Web site . Overall it was an enjoyable week there.
Christine
Very easy to book , property was fantastic spotless and comfortable with good ... Very easy to book , property was fantastic spotless and comfortable with good off road parking , area was lovely lots to do , received good information with handbook etc would recommend a stay here
My friends and I stayed at Little Nook for 3 nights, and it was one of the most amazing experiences we had. The place is modern but charming, and had everything you would need for a countryside getaway. Comfortable beds, nice showers, full kitchen, and a good collection of board games! As we are not familiar with the local area, the guides and welcome book available at the cottage was very useful, we ended up going on a few hikes and beaches recommended in the welcome book. We will definitely come back some time soon and cant recommend it enough to others!
A lovely place to stay! The layout is perfect for two couples, the two ensuite bedrooms being at opposite sides of the property, with a beautiful view to wake up to. Little Nook has a lovely seating area with the gorgeous scent of roses climbing through the grapevines. The reason for our stay was a trip to ZipWorld which is approximately 50 minutes away. Our only downside was we just didnt stay long enough!
Property was of a very high standard with a lovely outside space to relax & enjoy a barbecue. Its clear to see the owners are passionate & take pride in their property. As for location its a perfect spot to explore the area wether on foot or in the car. We all had a fantastic time & will definitely return A Rose and family
Christopher
