Robin Goch at Fron Haul Reviews

Andrew
Our second stay at this wonderful property Every bit as good as the first time and sure we will book again in the future Spotlessly clean, well equipped indoors and outdoors too Whatever the weather. Near a lovely little town in the form of Ruthin and lots to see and do in the local area with Snowdonia slightly further afield. Highly recommended!
Stephen
On arrival we were welcomed by the lovely Vicky who made us feel very welcomed. the lodge was perfect, clean and had all the essentials we needed. We were welcomed with a hamper with lots of goodies in, the scenery and views were spectacular the sound of the river was a fabulous sound to wake up to with a morning coffee sitting outside, we was also lucky to experience a Welsh winter with it snowing which was beautiful, We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back in the future. Thanks so much.
Owners were so helpful! The property was amazing and as seen in the pictures. Very well equipped and they had thought about most things which we would need on our holidays. We Less then 5 min drive from the local town, lots to see and do. Is a great place to use as a base and explore North Wales! Definitely would go back! Family 2 Adults & 3 teens
Absolutely fantastic!
Vicky our host was very attentive. On arrival she went through everything to explain how to use the facilities. Very helpful to recommend places to visit and eateries in the area. The property is excellent, south facing with some beautiful views. The outdoor area on the first floor was fantastic with the hot tub and barbecue and seating a great novelty and used every day. Another nice touch was the chickens and being able to collect a few eggs in the morning for breakfast. Ruthin is only a mile and a half away with a Tesco and a co op too. The castle is worth a visit for a walk around and Llandudno and Powis castle both less than an hour away.. I would recommend this property
Melissa
Beautiful property, very comfortable stay. Really useful local recommendations from the host.

This property had absolutely everything you would need. A luxurious home from home stay Stunning surroundings. The lodge itself was amazing and there is absolutely nothing we could fault
Russell
Superb property and location, very well maintained by Vicky. Could benefit from an umbrella for the outside table.
Amongst the best lodges we have stayed in. Very well equipped, lovely position and the owner Vicky was on hand if you needed anything.

What a fantastic find! An excellent property with wonderful hosts and a great base from which to explore North Wales! Set up brilliantly for a stay at any time of year Outdoor heater, gas BBQ and large hot tub for the cooler times Lots of outdoor areas with tables and seating for the warmer months. Indoors everything is immaculate with lots of lovely finishing touches. Also a special mention for the chickens and ready supply of free range eggs Very eggciting for any little ones to go and collect. All in all a fab holiday in a fab property We will certainly look to return in the future!

Had a lovely time at fron haul, would definitely book again
Shannon
The lodge is absolutely beautiful and spacious . It was By far the best place we have visited. It was clean and everything was well thought off. It was my partners birthday and Vicky was extremely helpful down to organising some balloons prior to our stay and making us feel welcome . There was a hamper of treats left for us and a lovely bottle of Prosecco. Vicky is a great host and is very responsive to any issues or questions you may have . Over all a very great stay and the views from the terrace are amazing !
Great location, really peaceful. Lovely lodge, nice welcome basket of milk, bread, cakes etc, fantastic hot tub, very friendly and helpful hosts, and fresh eggs every day from the chickens, marvellous.
Gillian
Beautiful property as stated, very friendly and helpful owner. Will definitely recommend
What a absolutely amazing property. We had the most amazing week the house is such of a high standard and Vicky the host was amazing offering places to visit and places to eat. We will definitely be back blown away by the whole place inc the surroundings area. Just Perfect.
What a wonderful find. We had an absolutely fantastic week in this most amazing house. Vicky and Grant were exceptional in their attentiveness and nothing was too much trouble. We loved collecting our own eggs daily from the chickens. The hottub was just fab and all the beds and outdoor furniture were so comfy. I would say if this house is available for your dates, then don't hesitate to get it booked. It won't be free for long! We would love to return.
Michelle
We go to cottages about 3 or 4 times a year. I can honestly say this is one of the best ones we have been to. Could not fault anything, the outdoor kitchen was superb, hot tub was a great size. There was everything we could think of there and so clean everywhere. Bonus was collecting fresh eggs from the chickens each day they were amazing. Vicky was lovely, checked we had everything we needed and it was nice to chat to her when she came to do the hot tub. We liked it so much we are going back in July.
Wonderful host and a beautiful home. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking to spend time in a beautiful part of the country.
Shamas
It was the perfect break. The hosts were great and amazing place that made you feel at home. Best place to book for your peace of mind and to unwind. Relaxing break. Thank you so much to Vicky and Grant.
This looked great on the website, but its even better in real life! ! We had a lovely stay here for our honeymoon in late November. The lodge is absolutely fantastic, spacious and well decorated and equipped with everything you could ask for. Its situated in a very rural area with the town of Ruthin only a mile or so away, so was great to get away from normal life and relax in peaceful surroundings. The hosts are great as well, very helpful but not intrusive, and the welcome pack supplied was excellent. As previous guests have mentioned, there are chickens on site which lay fresh eggs daily, a very nice bonus. We really cant fault anything about our stay, and hopefully will be returning soon.
From the moment we arrived, the view from the quaint road was a sight to behold. The two properties against the wooded backdrop and luscious green fields. Chickens and fresh eggs daily. Thanks to the hens, for letting us collect their bounty. The welcome pack and sweets was a lovely touch, something for the big & little kids in our group. The property is spacious, inviting whilst homely. Every small detail has been carefully thought out. No fighting over sockets for phones, tablets etc. Layout is extremely well thought out. Heating controlled at the flick of a switch. Fans and wide opening windows and doors, to let the Welsh air in. All bathrooms are large with excellent rainfall showers. I dont know where to start about the beds, bedding, comfort to sink into. Sunny days, or showers the upstairs bedrooms views are simply beautiful. The patio at the back allowed us to fully take in nature. Whilst the grounds, secret seating, pond created with love and the sound of the steam in the background. The balcony with a large barbecue, heating and seating in two areas, allowed us to unwind and take in the hills over yonder. Those sunrises and sunsets were a sight to behold, We were even treated to a double rainbow, after storm Agnes passed through. We were not able to think of any missing items for cooking, the owners have thought of everything. All weathers taken care of, as the very large hot hub was so inviting with privacy and superb views. Last but by no means least, Vickie & Grant were welcoming, charming and knowledgeable about their properties and the local area. There if we needed them, by no means intrusive. Thanks for a fabulous stay, we will be back to their little peace of heaven. Book you will not be disappointed.
Gillian
What an absolute gem of a place! We could not have been happier with the welcoming face to guide us around on arrival and the delicious basket that greeted us the sweet jar lasted one day! The accommodation had everything you needed and the view and outdoor area with hot tub completely made our holiday! The bedrooms are fantastic and it was lovely not to have to share a bathroom. Even the sheep were very friendly and the hens were generous with their eggs. The town is not too far away and I can definitely recommend the pizzas from the van outside one of the pubs delicious and very well priced. This is the first holiday we have ever had that we firstly didn't want leave and secondly had us looking at our diary so we can book again next year.
Fantastic stay complete with everything you need to relax, very peaceful. Would definitely recommend. Vicky and husband have done a wonderful job, massive thumbs up. Mark and family
Beautiful property and location. Property has everything in you need, for great holiday. Ideal location for exploring North Wales. Owners are great and always available. We will be returning.
Heather
Gorgeous house and location, and very well thought out. Particularly lovely upper deck area with hot tub, BBQ and TV etc. Well equipped kitchen and house in general.
Zorana
What can I say. . WOW!! Just stunning from start to finish. The lodge is pretty much brand new and has everything we needed for our stay. It really felt like home from home. Everything has been really thought through, the owners are incredible, so helpful with any questions and really lovely people. They very kindly included a hamper of goodies and also the huge sweet jar which went down a treat with everyone who stayed with us. The bbq and hot tub area were the star of the show, we couldnt quite believe it could be better then the pictures. We took our daughter who is 1 & it could not have been more baby proof she adored the chickens and collecting their eggs, and loved all the sheep she could see from the house. Its super safe and in a great location, we did snowdon mountain, chester zoo, even zip world is just under an hour away. Lots of beaches closeby too. Lovely pubs for food and amazing country parks for walks. It was the perfect holiday for our family & friends. Cannot wait to be back at Fron Haul!
What a place! We would 100 recommend to everyone and anyone looking to go here. The property was spotless with comfy beds and the attention to detail was top notch, with a lovely welcome hamper included. We went as 4 adults, with 3 children between us all under 2 and it was the most baby proofed property we have stayed at. The outside kitchenbar with hot tub was a luxury which we used every day. The owners offered to check the hot tub daily if needed or left you to it, if you were happy to do so. However they were easily contactable if needed. The chickens were also a great little perk! Our daughter loved to go pick some eggs each morning couldnt get much fresher! All together, it added up to an amazing holiday!
What a great property. The owner has gone above and beyond in finishing and facilities of this property. We had a truley wonderful 7 days and will book to go back again and again.
Absolutely gorgeous property. Fantastic location. It had everything we needed with added little touches including an arrival hamper and a bottle of fizz. Would definitely recommend it.
Robert
The accommodation is outstanding and lacks nothing whatsoever. Both Vicky and Grant were excellent hosts and went the extra mile with the welcome hamper, kite for the children, easter eggs for the mums all of which was really appreciated. Fron Haul is an ideal base for visiting local attractions and we will certainly be making a return visit.
We had a great time at Fron Haul, everything was as advertised & the communication throughout was outstanding. The lodge was really well designed, very clean & with all the facilities we need for our stay, for such a remote location it had great WiFi too. Would definitely stay again & highly recommend the hosts for providing such a good service throughout.
Jacqueline
Beautiful lodge very comfortable and warm, weather when we arrived was snow and minus nine. Lovely location and views so peaceful. All loved hot tub and outdoor kitchen.Great hosts very helpful.Would definitely recommend five star accommodation .
Fantastic spec, immaculate lodge in a lovely area. We were greeted by the owners who were really nice and went above and beyond the normal call of duty to accommodate us. We hope to return in the future.
Catherine
The property was absolutely gorgeous with everything you would need on your break and spotlessly clean. We were treated by the owner who was welcoming and very helpful. There was plenty of space for 6 of us. The high end finish to the property highlighted the thought and effort that went into building it. The hot tub was fabulous, the best I have experienced and was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Great outdoor balcony with the hot tub, barbecue, fridge and plenty of space. A large dining table and chairs allowing you to eat outdoors. The location of the property was great with stunning scenery. We were lucky to have lovely clear days in February, I imagine during the summer months the scenery will be stunning. There is plenty outdoor space with folding doors to give a fab indoor outdoor feel. There is a bedroom downstairs which is great for anyone with mobility issues and the outdoor area is fairly level, despite a decline down to the property. Ruthin is very close and easily accessible. I would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay.
