A games room contains a pool table, darts and table football. The conservatory has additional games and the snug includes boxes of toys and a wooden train set. However, the garden is not enclosed and the property sits close to the busy A5 road, requiring dogs to remain on leads outside. Cwmalis Hall Reviews

Brilliant property booked with neighbouring Coach House for large 3generation family birthday. House was beautifully presented warm and welcoming great decor in keeping with the style and period whilst having all the mode cons. We loved the log burners and generous log starter pack the welcome goodies the games room small pool tabledarts and fussball in the conservatory. All the little things made such a big difference. Emma was a fab host from start to finish and we would highly recommend her and Cwmalis Hall. Also a great location close to A5 so even when it snowed we werent worried about being stranded. High points included Chirk Castle, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct great guide called Reuben on the AngloWelsh boat tour, Castell Dinas Brn from Llangollen, a lovely 5 mile loop from Panorama Walk along the ridge above Llangollen and the adventurous route from the house into Llangollen was lots of fun!! Thanks for a wonderful place to celebrate together
Superb accommodation in a lovely rural setting, everything our party of 13 a dog required. Loads of parking also helped for our 5 cars.

What can I say? ! Book this accommodation, dont look any further we stayed here as a family to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday. 13 adults, 2 children and a great big dog. Cwmalis Hall is absolutely stunning, even better in real life. There is so much space. The bedrooms are beautiful and so comfortable and each of the bathrooms are stunning. Our favourite area was the large family table with a small snuglounge just off it and right next to the kitchen. This was the perfect central point for us al. The huge table was perfect for our family games. The snug area even had boxes of toys for the children they loved the wooden train set! The kitchen is gorgeous and very well stocked with so many pots, pans, glass wear , everything you need and more! There is also a larger lounge with lovely big sofas , a fire and tv perfect for relaxing. We visited Llangollen for the day too which was minutes away by car and absolutely stunning well worth a visit. Back in the house there is also a pool table and darts board and a table top football game in the beautiful conservatory. We stayed in November so didnt use the outdoor area much but we did go out to look and it was beautiful all lit up with fairy lights and lots of seating areas and of course the hot tub! There are a large selection of games and books in the house too they really have thought of everything. Owner Emma is incredible too and was on hand quickly by message with any questions we had to help us. It really was the most perfect stay and we cant wait to come back and visit again. Cwmalis will always have a special place in our hearts now.
We were looking for a large property near to Llangollen and this ticked all the boxes. Nicely laid out with everything that had everything we wanted. Space and facilities. We particularly liked the two lounges as it allowed some of us to work while others relaxed. Everything about the place was just brilliant. Excellent contact from the owner before our visit to confirm final details. Would certainly recommend it.
Lovely property with loads of space, seating, storage and facilities. Really well equipped much better anywhere else weve rented, especially in the kitchen. Very clean and interesting pictures, books etc dotted around the house. Friendly and helpful owner too.
Cwmalis Hall was the perfect location to celebrate my 70th birthday with all my family. The hall has an old world charm, plenty of space, rooms and facilities were of an excellent standard. The games rooms, hot tub were great for my five grandchildren to get together. The location is private but not remote, altogether a pleasant setting. The communication from Emma the owner was very good with information on small but needed to know detail. Enjoyed our stay at Cwmalis greatly.

Trevor
Great communications. Easy to find location. Would definitely recommend for a family get together, home from home.
Stayed for a long weekend for 2 friends birthday celebrations. 9 of us altogether so plenty of space and bedrooms. Emma left a lovely welcome pack which was appreciated. When we had a problem with one of the showers I messaged Emma and she came round and sorted it out quickly. House was very clean, plenty of towels and the kitchen was very well stocked. The log fire was a perfect end to the day. Had a nice time walking around Llangollen and the house is very central for this. Hot tub was perfect and fitted 7 adults in easily with no problem. The outside space would be stunning in the summer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending the place to anyone.
Hannah

The children and the adults loved the hot tub , the temperature and the lights. Lovely rooms to sit and relax in. So many games and books available. And a very thoughtful welcome pack on our arrival. Emma was very helpful and we appreciated her kindness. Would highly recommend this lovely house.
This was a great place for a large family gathering. The facilities were excellent and the location great for sightseeing in the area. Emma was very helpful and efficient in dealing with a few problems. Thoroughly recommended.
We had a fantastic stay at Cwmalis. It was so well equipped and comfortable. The welcome gifts and beautiful flowers were very much appreciated. There was so much for the children to do. They loved the croquet and archery. The hot tub was a great hit with the grown ups. We loved the huge dining table indoors and patio table outdoors where we were able to eat together. Cooking facilities were great. Would recommend this for large groups. A fabulous house in an idyllic setting. Emma was a lovely host too.
This is a beautiful house and was exactly what we were looking for, for a girls weekend. Has everything you need plenty of bathrooms and space. Hosts are great at communication and we had no issues whilst staying, would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Cwmalis Hall. The hosts were very communicative and flexible. Its the perfect house for a large get together such as Hen Dos. Lots of amenities in the Kitchen to host a Taco Night for 9! Hot showers, hot hot tub and a warm house all you need. It got a spacious lawn and a garden with furniture to sit outside. Everything was clean and tidy, cosy beds and fresh linen. I would recommend you staying here. Thanks a lot! Kind regards, Gudrun

Suzanne
We have just got back from spending the bank holiday weekend at Cwmalis Hall. Which was built in the 1700s and is a listed building, situated in the country side. There were sixteen of us altogether and the first time that this side of the family had been away together since they were kids. Before arriving at the hall Emma sent us a very detailed welcome pack, including everything you need to know about the hall, how to get there, how things work, to walking maps of surrounding area, and places to visit and places to eat. I found this very helpful, and made things so much easier when everyone arrived at the hall. I wish every property owner did the same? On arriving at the Cwmalis Hall we were greeted will a lovely welcome pack, and flowers in vases around the kitchen which was a lovely touch. The hall turned out to be above and beyond all our expectations and accommodated all our groups requirements and more. Emma has done an amazing job of refurbishing the property, whilst retaining a lot of the halls old features. We have never stayed in a property with so many kitchen utensils, books and games. The pool table and bar football game was a lovely surprise and everyone enjoyed playing them. Also the outside area was great with enough space for everyone around the outside table, but still giving privacy to those who wanted to relax in the hot tub. Emma has also provided lots of outdoor games that you can play, including a life size chest board on the lawn, which kept us entertained. Inside the hall it was large enough to accommodate everyone in our party, with a large living room at the front, and a dinning area with a smaller cosy living room off it, which was ideal for us all to join in together, not once did any of us feel cramped at Cwmalis Hall. The hall has great sized bedrooms and enough bathrooms for everyone. I cannot recommend Cwmalis Hall enough for anyone wanting somewhere to stay with a large party that ticks all the boxes. We had an amazing time and will definitely be rebooking.
Heather
Cwmalis was the perfect place for a group of 16 adults to celebrate lots of significant birthdays, close to Llangollen but peaceful and quiet, set in beautiful grounds. Emma was quick to respond to any questions prior to our stay and the directions were spot on , she helped massively with our Saturday meal by making suggestions for caters etc and was on hand with any queries during our stay. Cwmalis is warm cosy but with loads of little places to sit and chill read a book etc . Bedrooms beautifully presented and comfortable. The kitchen although smallish was well stocked with all the utilities needed to cater for a big party, we spend lots of time here chatting etc .The dining room comfortably seated us all. Plenty of books and games and the hot tub was a welcome addition ofter long walks. Cwmalis is a perfect spot to relax unwind and chill whilst celebrating with family and or friends. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here .
Thomas
We had a fantastic time at Cwmalis Hall. The house is great good size communal areas, comfortable bedrooms and an excellent location. And the hot tub is amazing! Emma gave really clear info about the property and the area, and communication throughout was brilliant. Id highly recommend Cwmalis Hall to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful place. Thanks Emma!
We stayed at the Cwmalis Hall for three night and had a lovely stay despite the rainy weather. Our previously booked holiday cottage was cancelled last minute and we had family coming over from the Netherlands and Ireland. So I booked this property last minute on the day of arrival thanks to Sarah from Sykes Cottages who stayed . The host Emma was very helpful the prepare the property for us last minute, she is very friendly and helpful with a quick response. The property was specious with lots of bedrooms just perfect for everyone. It's well equipped, nice garden with an amazing, large, private hot tub. Although the property needs some reparation and renovation as it's on the old side, with some cracks in the walls and moulds. When we arrived after couple of hours we had no warm water and the heatings kept going off at night which made the bedrooms cold, this was unpleasant as we had small kids with us. I would recommend staying at this property.
Catherine

Excellent location, very private and spacious property with excellent facilities. Owner was very helpful.Would certainly return.
Absolutely lovely property, very comfortable for our party of 13. The owner responded very quickly to a couple of queries. I would certainly stay here again!
Cwmalis Hall is a perfect retreat for a larger familyfriend group to spend time together. The kitchen facilities were all we needed & more. The house layout allows for 'alltogether' time as well as opportunities to escape for a bit of quiet time. The garden is lovely & we loved watching the grey wagtails skimming the lawn for food to take back to the nest regularly. The hot tub was a welcome treat after a day of exploring. There is a large selection of board games & books, to suit all ages. Cwmalis Hall is near enough to Llangollen to nip out in the car to collect forgotten items for dinner thank you Aldi! We stayed for a week & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The location is great for getting out & about & exploring some beautiful parts of North Wales. We met Emma & were very grateful for her quick response to a plumbing issue it's a beautiful old house, these things happen. If you're looking for a large, quirky & charming house in a great location, we would definitely recommend Cwmalis House & thank Emma for giving us this opportunity.

This large property was perfect for our stay in Llangollen. The property owner was extremely helpful and sent extra details about the property and more specific directions. She also came straight to the property when we had a query and she solved it immediately. The bedrooms were perfect with a range of double and single beds. The bathrooms were very clean and decorated beautifully. The hot tub was extremely inviting after white water rafting! I would recommend this property.

The property was lovely! very cosy yet spacious, set in lovely grounds and great location to Llangolen town! stayed for a family weekend away 60th, 2 x 30ths, 2 x 70ths etc. Was the perfect house for it, the hot tub was a great fetaure that we used a lot!
