Lovely cottage , although too many steps within the house which is a bit tiring , The shower had little pressure and the temp was hit and miss !

A lovely cottage in a very quiet village, was a bit disappointed to find a stain on one of the sofas when we first arrived. If ownercleaner was aware of it then it should have been mentioned upon arrival especially seeing as there's a 300 cleaning bond attached to this cottage no one will be happy to pay that for someone else's fault. Cottage itself was comfortable and spacious, kitchen a bit dated but had loads of storage and everything you needed. Bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. The village has post officeshop and a pub, please note that the shop sells only essential supplies plus from Wednesday to Saturday whilst we were there it shut at 1pm. The pub also didn't open until around 5pm during the week, at the weekend it opened earlier. Overall a very delightful cottage in a lovely peaceful area.

Accuracy of listing everything listed was there, although there were a number of repairs needed to taps, door handles and patio doors. I booked through Vrbo and was surprised to be charged 8866 booking fee by Sykes Cottages, although Vrbo had said no hidden extras. apparently this is common practice although contact with Vrbo and Sykes cottages proved both frustrating and unhelpful. Google explained it al! Very nice setting, excellent inn nearby serving well cooked and presented food and wine by helpful and friendly staff.
