Coedfan Reviews

Rachel
Absolutely beautiful home for our Christmas break! Very clean, spacious and comfortable. So much space outside for children to play. Views that you'll never get bored of! So happy we chose this for our christmas! Owner was very helpful with any query we had whilst there with quick responses. Would definitely recommend to anyone and hope we will return one day!
We enjoyed our week in this quite comfortable bungalow. Lovely views, and good location for visits.
Stephen
We enjoyed using the cottage and it was well maintained and just what we needed in terms of facilities for the week. My only feedback was the towels. These were far too smallI am 6ft 5inches and showering with small towels provided was not the best. Full size bath towels or bath sheets would be an enhancement.
Lovely bungalow in a stunning setting. We had a great stay at Coedfan and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. Maintained and decorated to a high standard and very spacious. The outdoor seating area is the perfect spot with a fantastic view. The peace and quiet is amazing and very relaxing. We had a lovely holiday, thank you to Col and Gwyn!
Stephen
We love Coedfan. This was our second visit and all being well we will be coming back twice next. One of the cleanest places weve stayed in
Sandra
Outstanding property in an excellent location with lovely views and very peaceful. The cleanliness and furnishings of the property was excellent. We were a family of 6 including my mum 91 and dad 88 who thoroughly enjoyed there stay. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful cottage, the nicest we've stayed in and exactly as advertised. Welcome pack made us feel very welcome. We did find the mattress in the main bedroom quite soft.
The cottage was one of the best we have ever stayed in. It was spotless and the facilities were all new and highend. There were very helpful and clear written instructions for the wood fire, coffee maker, recycling etc. The views are fantastic and we enjoyed sitting outside and watching grouse in the fields opposite. It is a perfect location if you want to get away from it all. You are however only a few minutes away from Ruthin where there are supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. Highly recommended. We will definitely be going back.
An immaculate bungalow comfortable, wellpresented, with some lovely views. The owners are very welcoming.
Robert
Beautiful bungalow with everything you would need for relaxing stay. The hosts Colleen and Gwyn were always on hand if anything was needed. Highly recommended
Absolutely blewaway with the Decor and the furnishings and fittings were really good and it was so nice and clean and looked very cosy a surprise welcome pack was really lovely and so much appreciated. The Beds were so comfortable and the showers were so warm and inviting we loved the view from the kitchen window and there was so much space to move around it was a pity the weather was quite dismal but it didn't spoil our holiday we did manage to go to Llandudno to do some gift shopping and enjoy a walk and we also went into Ruthin and had coffee and a visit to the craft centre there. I would like to say a big thank you to Coleen and Gwyn for providing such a lovely place to stay for a holiday. God bless you. Alison.Stephen& Jennifer.
A spacious, comfortable and well appointed property which provided everything needed and more.

Amazing Family Getaway Highly Recommend! Our family just spent a few days at Coedfan, and we loved every single minute! The house itself is beautifully maintained, cozy, and full of charm. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What truly stood out was the peaceful atmosphere and the breathtaking views of nature all around. Col, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Our family made some incredible memories here, and we can't wait to return. If you're looking for a relaxing escape with loved ones, Coedfan is the perfect spot. We highly recommend it!

Perfect escape! We have booked with Sykes before and I like how they keep you well informed every step of the way. I would recommend this large cottage 100. We had a lovely time at Coedfan, Ruthin, it is a good base to explore North Wales, There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, you can go on countryside walks from the front door, we visited Llangollen and popped on the train to Corwen, 40 minutes away is Chester Zoo, Coedfan is beautiful inside and out from the fully equied kitchen, to the wrap around garden, one of my favourite things was to sit out on the back patio and enjoy the countryhillside views with a cuppa, lovely big rooms, excellent furniture and fittings, with big comfy beds, so very clean and the views are amazing, it was a lovely touch having cakes on arrival and a nespresso machine with pods provided plus other essentials, yes we will definitely be returning. We did not want to leave.
Coedfan is a lovely, comfortable and well equipped bungalow. A real credit to the owners. Beautiful views over the surrounding farmland. Great location for exploring north Wales.
Stephen
We have stayed in dozens of cottages but this one is at the top of the pile. Peaceful with stunning views. The owners were wonderful. The house has everything you could need and we will be back as soon as we can.

WOW! We were all blown away. What an amazing bungalow, with absolutely stunning views. The bungalow was very spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished with everything you need for a fantastic holiday. We couldn't have asked for more. The games room is a added bonus the boys men loved it. Also a lovely welcome pack biscuits, cake, prosecco, milk and orange juice. Thank you so much Col & Gwyn We will definitely be back I'm sure. Jackie
Great Views. Lovely house. Well equipped. Very comfortable with everything you need. Good location also Ruthin only 5 mins drive away with lots of nice cafes, takeaways, shops & museums. I especially liked nantclwyd y dre historic house museum & walking around the castle grounds with the peacocks.
The property was spotless, beautiful and very comfortable with an incredible and relaxing view of fields. Things in the house were easy to use with instructions for use. The kitchen was well equipped with other necessary items in a cupboard. There was also outside furniture. The owner was in touch for any questions and she was so helpful. The house was a great base for visiting North Wales. It was a truly delightful stay.

This was our 2nd time at Coedfan and it will be our last. Our whole holiday was ruined by lack of swift action by the owners in removing a wasps nest that was by the main entrance steps and which I reported with a few hours of us arriving. Nothing was done about this until the Wednesday 6 days into our holiday, after repeatedly contacting the owners. Unable to sit outside at the rear patio where all the views are due to number of wasps and unable to open any rear windows. Sleep was disturbed due to wasps making nest in walls. Outside bins were full when we arrived on the Friday and were not emptied by owners until Tue. Had to get rid of rubbish myself! Hoover was full of dirt and dust when we went to use it and there was no dust pan or brush to clean any crumbs up etc. Bitterly disappointed with this holiday and attitude of owners who failed to ensure the property was ready to let out and failed to act swiftly to make sure our holiday wasn't ruined.....it most definitely was.

Very clean and tidy lovely location great views. Good selection of cooking pans, baking trays and cutlery everything you need for a self catering holiday. There is a kettle ,coffee maker, toaster ,dishwasher ,washer dryer .There was milk ,orange juice and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and a box of cakes in the kitchen on our arrival .We had a great stay we went to zip world in BetwsyCoed, did canoeing on Bala lake and did target sports at TNR outdoors in Llangollen .
Clean, spacious, secure and very well equipped accommodation. Couldn't find any faults at all, everything we needed was provided. Hosts were attentive and quick to respond to our questions but not at all intrusive. Cakes, bubbly, milk and more left to welcome was a very nice and appreciated gesture.
Mohammed
We had a great time in this house Everything is organized and tidy. The kitchen is complete, the bedrooms are comfortable.
This was our second stay and we really love this property. We were a party of five covering three generations of a family, so the spaciousness of the interior of the bungalow was really welcome. We were lucky with the weather every day was fine, dry and sunny which enabled us to make full use of the outdoor seating areas. Both the front area garden and the rear area views across fields to the hills have high quality garden furniture. We would hope to return for a third stay in the future.
Philip
Coedfan has everything to make your holiday great, the cottage is extremely well equipped. The welcome pack was really nice and if you like peace and quiet theres no better place and the weather was fantastic too. Thank you Col & Gwyn
Coedfan is a beautiful, very comfortable property, extremely peaceful with fabulous views. The kitchen is well equipped and the property is furnished to a high standard. The beds are very comfortable and the house itself was spotlessly clean. It is only a short drive to Ruthin which has a Tesco store which is well stocked. We had a wonderful week there and would not hesitate to recommend the property. Col and Gwyn are lovely hosts. Jo
Stephen
