Nant yr Hendre Reviews

Stanley
Very comfortable well equipped cottage
A spacious and well equipped cottage, and very comfortable stay. The owners were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely to be able to relax in the hot tub and extra towels were provided for this. Would definitely recommend this cottage to family and friends.
Richard
A lovely self contained property in a quiet little Hamlet on the edge of an Area of outstanding Natural Beauty. The property is clean and well maintained with all the usual home comforts and fast broadband. The hot tub is an added bonus. The owners were friendly, approachable and attentive to our every need. We would highly recommend as a great holiday home to enjoy the surrounding countryside
Victoria
Perfect for our family catch up.
We had a lovely stay at this cottage! Even though the weather wasnt its best, the hot tub was a great asset in the evenings. I was also surprised at how warm the cottage felt even when cooler summer nights. The owners provided towels for the hot tub, but if you prefer bath sheet size I recommend you take one as the towels were on the small size for an adult. It was very clean and comfortable and perfect for our family of 4 to enjoy. Opportunities for local walks from the 3 pigeons pub and would recommend a climb up Moel Famu. Of course most forget the delicious cake on arrival!
Michael
We all enjoyed the cottage in a very attractive part of north Wales close to many interesting and pretty places to visit. The hot tub was a very nice feature and enjoyed by some of our party.
Sophie
Lovely cottage. Really comfortable very clean and well looked after. Perfect place to relax and enjoy some family time.
Lovely relaxing stay peace perfect peace and beautiful cottage thank you x
George
Although 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms the position of these was not perfect. Master bedroom with ensuite, twin room and bathroom being at one end of property with the other double bedroom at far end up a couple of steps was quite isolated from a wc if needed through the night. Other than this slight inconvenience we could not fault the property.
This holiday cottage is an absolute gem. The pictures do not do it justice!! We had the perfect stay in the lovely surroundings. So peaceful and the hot tub was a lovely addition as was the fire. Glenda was very easy to contact, and left us a lovely cake for our arrival and then dropped another to us mid stay. We really fell in love with the place and will definitely be rebooking.
This cottage exceeded expectations. Spotlessly clean, really cosy and welcoming. A listing where the photos dont do the cottage justice! Great space and location, straight out the front door and able to walk the Clwydian Range. Glenda has really thought of everything you might need, and more leaving a freshly made cake for us to enjoy with a cuppa. Definitely return again. Thank you.
Philip
A lovely place surrounded by stunning countryside. Glenda is warm and helpful, she pops in to see all is ok. Every thing you need is here. We hope to come back and have recommended this great place to stay to friends. Thanks.
Cynthia

As a family of 5, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at Nant yr Hendre. We all found the cottage extremely comfortable and equipped with all facilities. We were able to travel to several places enjoying the beautiful scenery wherever we went. Glenda, the owner of the cottage, was very obliging and her cakes were something else. Absolutely delicious. Would definitely book again in the future.
What a perfect holiday, The cottage had everything one would need, home from home. The owners went above and beyond, always on hand if needed,Christmas tree, lemon cake and extra logs for the fire. Not forgetting the amazing brownies mid meek. The cottage made our Christmas stay so special they even put a xmas tree up. The hot tub was perfect and is emptied cleaned and refilled after every visitors stay, we went to chirk castle, Conwy, Welsh mountain zoo, Llangollen, Ruthin, we will definitely return. There has been comments about the cockerel ! It made our stay what do you expect staying in the country! Thank you so much Glenda & Clwyd you made our 1st Christmas with out my dad so nice and memorable xxx
Absolutely fantastic cottage it had everything we needed it was perfect. We will definitely be coming again!
Christine
The accommodation is superb. It's very clean, spacious and comfortable. There are lots of walks from the doorstep. The Sunday lunch at The Three Pigeons pub was excellent. The only down side is the first two days we we woken each day at 430am by the next door neighbour's cockerel which is situated about 6m from the bedroom window which left us extremely tired for the first weekend.
Joanne
What a lovely place to stay. The house is beautiful. Glenda was so friendly and helpful. The lemon cake was gorgeous and with staying 2 weeks we received a 2nd one!! Yum yum. We will definitely return.
Rachael
A beautiful holiday home in a perfect location. The photos do not do this cottage justice. Lovely lemon cake upon our arrival too! Will happilyhopefully stay again
Pauline
Beautiful location very peaceful. cottage was very comfortable and clean lots of little extras there that you would normally have to buy. Lovely cake was very much appreciated. would definitely go back again .one of the best cottages we have visited .
Nant yr Hendre is like a home from home. It is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The location is lovely and the hot tub is an added bonus. This was our second visit and I'm sure we will return.
Malcolm
Just what we were looking for at this time quiet, remote and a great hot tub.
We spent the week here just after lockdown a much needed break! The cottage was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is stocked well with just about every utensil you could need. We didn't fancy eating out in the current climate but made fabulous meals in the cottage. There's a Tesco not far away, and a large Morrisons in Wrexham so we were able to stock up for the week on arrival. The beds are comfy and rooms spacious enough with plenty of drawer and cupboard space. There's a few dvd's that you can watch, and there's even a landline phone in the cottage mobile reception isn't that great, but there's wifi to connect to. There are still a lot of places closed due to the covid pandemic, but we found lots to do regardless. We spent a day at the Welsh Mountain Zoo which was fabulous take a picnic as there's only one coffee shop open and not much choice for eating. We went to Llandudno for the day and took the cable cars on The Great Orme amazing views! Watch out for the seagulls on the beautiful pier though took the ice cream right out of my little boys hand!! We also spent a day at Talacre beach really nice beach and the lighthouse is beautiful. We had a wonderful, relaxing week at Nant Yr Hendre, and did not want to leave! The hot tub was a hit with all of us and we used it every day at least once. There's a barbecue which we used when the weather was sunny, and there's so much space for the kids to play safely too. I would highly recommend this cottage and we hope to return next year
Location, private, great hot tub, comfortable and well equipped cottage. Owners not obtrusive would visit again.
The holiday barn was lovely and spacious and all the bedrooms were large in size. Parking was excellent too! The beds were comfy and there was plenty of space to relax on the sofas in the lounge. The kitchen was lovely and had everything we needed and the large dining table provided plenty of space to entertain.
Bernice
Many thanks for the lovely cake we were met with on arrival ! ! It's a lovely cottage and we all really enjoyed the hot tub!!nice and warm too!
What a relaxing place to spend a holiday. Found plenty to do and places to visit nearby. The hot tub was so wonderful especially after a day of sightseeing.
Bridget
The cottage is finished and furnished to a high standard in a quiet and idylic location. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. The layout, rooms and furnishings are homely and welcoming. The outside area is complimented with patio furniture and hot tub. They offered us the opportunity to relax and unwind whilst watching the cows and sheep in meadow.
The cottage was beautifully presented and we were sorry to leave ! We had everything we needed and the hot tub was an added bonus. Nearby, there are plenty of things to do, including walks along the stunning Clwydian range. We were even treated to a freshly baked home made cake on arrival.
Fantastic holiday. wonderful location. Hot tub a massive hit with the children and us! cottage has everything you need and more ! perfect for families !
Alison
A stunningly beautiful cottage in a very quiet peaceful village. Amazing scenery plenty to do with a short drive to Chester, Wrexham and the coast. The cottage is immaculately clean, lots of attention to detail so your stay is a home from home, the private hot tub is a perfect addition. 100 recommend and definitely would go back.
Stephen
Third visit to this cottage , Just as good as the first time .
Location and bungalow was perfect. Fantastic area for joggingwalking and a lovely hot tub to rest. Wanted for nothing.
Alexander
Location and bungalow was perfect. Fantastic area for joggingwalking and a lovely hot tub to rest. Wanted for nothing.
The cottage was fantastic, even better than the description on the website. The small touches make such a big difference, like a cupboard with toys and games for the kids to play with, separate towels for the hot tub, tea, coffee, milk and a freshly baked cake on arrival so you can have a brew straight away. The setting in a quiet little village is idyllic.
