Pennant Reviews

Pamela
Beautiful cottage, clean, well equiped, nice decor and finishing touches. Lovely comfy beds. Just about managed to get our car Astra in the garage but alternative parking available. In a nice quiet road with views over the countryside. Friendly neighbours and good local pub. Would stay again.
Danielle
Everything about the accommodation was spot on, it was lovely and clean when we arrived and kept to a very high standard. It was the perfect spot to explore from and had stunning views across the countryside. The only point I would mention is we brought a dog cage and babies pram however when we arrived on site these are provided but not mentioned when booking which meant unnecessary luggage in an already packed car I think its a plus that they provide these items it should be advertised more
Great cottage in close proximity to the local shop and pub. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. We arrived during storm Amy and it took a little while for the heating to get the temperature up but that is only to be expected. The locals were all friendly and welcoming. The location is great for exploring North Wales. I would definitely recommend it for a break
Fantastic stay at pennant cottage. Beautiful location. The house itself is amazing. Spacious, clean with everything you could wish for a real home from home. Great communication from the owner about key collection and helpful information. Would highly recommend and would love to come back.
Loved Pennant. We felt at home on entering the property. It was clean and well equipped. Through bad weather the TV lost signal, we contacted Clare, the owner, and Sky came and repaired it the next day. I would definitely recommend this property.
Richard
The cottage is located in a small quiet village. Access to the cottage is off a lane that looks like a driveway so just look for the double garage and drive up until you see the red door on the left. As others have commented the garage is small 9'x16' but we went in a Fiat 500 which fitted perfectly but larger cars may struggle so park on the pub car park. The cottage is excellent. The feeling you get as soon as you enter is lovely with the living room, dining room and kitchen all in a row downstairs and upstairs 2 large bedrooms and bathroom in a row off a long landing. The cottage has everything you could need with comfortable reclining chairs, TV with Sky and decent broadband. There is a nice big dining table and a very well equipped kitchen. Upstairs the king size bed is extremely comfortable and a double bed in the 2nd room that we used as a dressing room. The huge bathroom has a large shower and a lovely big bath. There is a small walled courtyard at the rear with some garden furniture. You get a nice view of the hills from the front with the soundtrack of sheep and seagulls. Although in a quiet location, Pennant is ideally located to visit places like Denbigh, Conwy, St Asaph, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno etc. We hope to visit again.
Joanne
Excellent property, has everything you could need. Exceptionally clean. Great location
Very clean and comfortable, everything there that was needed. Enjoyed staying in this cottage.
We loved our stay at the Pennant. It is perfect for our little walking holiday with the dogs. Henllan was a beautiful quiet and peaceful village.
I loved this cottage, it was probably the best weve stayed at. It was incredibly clean and it had everything we needed. Well definitely come back. Thank you Clare
Sheila
Only question mark is garage! Would help if owners gave length of garage, With difficulty I managed to reverse my car in only to find it was too long!!
Sandra
This is a beautiful home and very clean and comfortable. It is by far the best accommodation I have stayed in since using Sykes. My friend and I took our dogs, and it was a very short drive maximum 1 hour to the most spectactular places to visit and walk. The cottage is set within a very small village with a local pub 2 mins away, and the people here are so friendly. It made the long drive 7 hours worth it.
Great location for all the local amenities and 20 mins from the beaches 2 mins to the pub. Secured garden for our dogs Teddy and Rupert. Cottage was well equipped the only thing we could not find was a cheese grater sorry for being picky. The cottage was very clean on arrival beds, towels and linen all great. Slight problem with the outside drain but dealt with. We would highly recommend and are aiming to return. Thanks for a great stay you have a near perfect property. MarkJo.
Sylvia
Me and my daughter stayed in may,we had a great time. .we are hoping to stay again in September, lovely amenities clean warm and very comfortable. Our dogs loved it also.
Lovely comfortable clean cottage, everything you need
Fabulous cottage, beautifully furnished. Loved the reclining sofa and armchairs! Garden is securely fenced in, even for larger dogs. Great location lots of lovely towns and sights within easy driving distance. Would definitely recommend!
Louise
Well what can I say? ? this Cottage has definitely been one of the best we have stayed in, everything you could possibly need, and the comfy beds, we stayed with our 5 year old and dachshund puppy, we were staying to visit family locally and it was perfect to get back at the end of the day and just chill out, the garage is tight but I left the parking to my hubby, who had no issue! hoping to come back back later in the year too
Pennant was a ideal location for getting out and about and the view from the ... Pennant was a ideal location for getting out and about and the view from the bedroom window was special the property itself was clean, spacious, kitchen equipment galore, very comfy bed And well placed for the local shop, If I had to be critical my only grouse was the garage being small for my car but we managed we had a lovely time and Clare the owner was more than helpful when we contacted her and she's posting my hat to me that I left there thank you
Fantastic stay everything is there great stay
Sharon
The cottage is lovely and peaceful and as described. Its in a perfect location to explore the North of Wales. The milk and fruit cake was a nice touch The beds are very comfy main bedroom has a softer mattress and the 2nd bedroom has a firmer mattress. The garden is great for a dog as its safe and secure. The garage was great also and easily fitted my Toyota.
Excellent property in a quiet location. Close to lovely beaches and attractions for kids. Clean and very friendly owner who we met on arrival. This was a fantastic place to stay and will book again.
Excellent cottage, everything you could need for a home from home. Safe enclosed garden for the pooch, dog crates under the bed, thank you to Claire for the essentials! Nice comfy lazyboy sofas to relax on after a busy day out. Llindir pub is lovely and welcoming. Fields next to the cottage for walking, outhouse to store our bikes, managed to fit our MG5 estate in the garage without issue. Will book again soon!
Christina
Beautiful and comfortable cottage with lovely views and easy access to the North wales coast, Bodnant Garden and Anglesey. Easy to get to from the A55. Great secure rear garden for the dogs. Close to the friendly village pub and walks straight out of the front door. Plenty of room to get my Terios in the garage. There were a few minor issues but nothing that affected our stay, emailed the owners to make them aware and enable them to sort things out, would happily go back.
Cottage amazing. Area beautiful. Pub The llindr superb and literally 2 minutes walk. This cottage literally has everything you need. Only issue was the bath seemed very unstable? As I was getting out it tipped backwards causing me to slip. No injury done but could have been potentially problematic
A beautiful cottage would recommend as a holiday base, Only drawback is the garage not being Suitable for car, There wasnt any problem parking on the pub, just struggled on the Saturday pub was packed with being a nice day so struggled for parking. We found some lovely walks with dog.
Beautiful cottage and very well equipped. Everything you could need was provided including comprehensive information about surrounding areas. The garden was secure and perfect for my little dog. Bed was comfy and bathroom was very good. O pnly downside was bath did not feel secure climbing in and out but probably because it was freestanding. On the plus side there was a beautiful walk in shower. I would happily book the cottage again.
We really enjoyed our 4 night stay over the New Year at Pennant. The house was spotless throughout. It was very cold when we got there and took until the morning to heat up properly, but from then on was lovely and cosy. We had the dog with us and there were plenty of walks in the area, from the house or with the car to surrounding areas. The only problem we had was that our car was too big to be parked in the garage, so we parked in the pubs car park which was very full at times, but that may have been because of the New Year. I would recommend staying at Pennant and would definetly go back to stay again.
Angela
We arrived to find the cottage immaculate and extremely well equipped. The village is very picturesque and ideally situated to explore all of North Wales. We have loved our stay here and sincerely hope we will be able to return next season.
Therese Carey
Very peaceful location. Exceptionally clean. Very well equipped kitchen. No complaints whatsoever.
Bethan
The owner was extremely accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Siobhan
The house was lovely, garden is perfect for dogs to use without worrying about them escaping over non existent fences like some properties we've stayed in. Will definitely be looking to book again.
The cottage was lovely, accessing the garage was difficult so we. Parked in the pub car park. The landlady was very nice and said it was fine for us to park there and it was only 2 mins walk from the car park to the cottage. The village is very pretty and it was a good place to access the surrounding beauty spots and coast. We were only a short drive to Denbigh which is a lovely historical town. All together we had a really enjoyable stay at Pennant and would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to our friends and family.
The only problem was the parking. Garage is only suitable for small car..no others parking at property have to park in pub car park..which means a walk up hill..not suitable for disabled people
The cottage is beautiful has all the fixtures and fitting you need for a holiday and the location for touring North Wales is excellent, however parking can be a issue if you have a car which is too big to fit in the garage we have an Insignia and it was about 6 inches too long. Due to access issues with the neighbouring property you cannot leave your car at the front of the property, instead you have to park in the pub car park which is only a short distance away, however its down a quite steep short hill... This wont be a problem for most people, however if your driver is of limited mobility then they may find walking back up the hill an issue. Like I said the cottage itself is lovely and Claire is very inobtrusive and helpful.
Pennant Cottage was great had everything we want on our holiday. The interior kitchen bathroom bedrooms all new, immaculately clean and well presented. The cottage is set in a loverly quite village with local shop and pub, met a few of the locals with a hive of knowledge about the village and surrounding areas. just a short drive to Denbigh and other local areas of outstanding beauty. This is one of those cottages i would recommend, a big thank you to the owner. Will defiantly book again. Mrs Riley
Gordon
The cottage had everything you could wish for and lots more besides sky television pub at the bottom of the road shop just round the corner. the people in the village are so helpful would love to stay again thank you.
