What a wonderful cottage in an idyllic setting. Plenty of things to do and lots of walking trails for you and your dear dogs. There were lots of information leaflets to hand for places to visit and walks. The hosts Bev and Phil were very kind and helpful and the property was a credit to them. We had a lovely weeks break. 8

An idyllic location with peaceful garden. Woodland walks nearby make it ideal for dogs. A good base for exploring the beautiful North Wales countryside. Very well equipped property.
What a wonderful annexe run by Bev and Phil. The accommodation was so lovely and clean and there was nothing that wasn't available . Our 2 dogs loved running around the grounds and watching the sheep. Highly recommend this place for a lovely relaxing get away that is close enough to some lovely towns if you like nice drives out . We will definitely be booking to go back

The absolute best holiday cottage I have visited. I booked 2 more trips before I had left. The peace and tranquility is second to none. My dog adored it and the owners are lovely. Cottage is like a tardis and beautifully kept.

Cheryl
Overall had a fab stay, minor inconvenience with dishwasher being broken but didnt detract from our experience. Bev and Phil are lovely hosts and definately very dog friendly. Ideal location to explore that part of Wales.
Nice cosy and relaxing everything you need provided. Peaceful and great area for walks
Thanks Bev and Phil for a very relaxing stay in your lovely home, and thank you for the wine and sweets. The cottage is in a quiet location with great walks from the door. Although we didnt do it, it is only about a mile walk into town where there are a selection of dog friendly pubs and nice shops. For a good meal the Drovers pub just out of town is well worth a visit. We wouldnt hesitate booking again when next in the area. Les & Jan and Misty .
Two fifty somethings and a dog have just spent a lovely quiet week at Distyll. Accomodation is pefect to get away from the hustke and busyle of everyday life. Isolated, but a 3 minute drive or 20 min picturesque walk to the town. Grounds are pefect for a dog. Whilst we are both agike i dont see the Accomodation being any problem for people with mobility issues. Definitely intend to go back.
Nicholas
Comfortable and peaceful splendid surroundings from dog walking to day trips out something for everyone . Hosts went over and beyond thankyou
Angela

Lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay. Bev and Phil were charming hosts. Wifi works in living room but hit and miss elsewhere. Enjoyed the walk through the woods but disappointed that there is no path into Ruthin. Lots of places to visit within reasonable driving distance. Would definitely recommend this property.
Audrey

We had a lovely stay at Distyll . Bev gave us a lovely welcome and guide through the annex. It was so warm clean and cosy couldnt fault it in any way. Comfy bed which always helps. A great setting and garden just outside Ruthin . A perfect place to recharge your batteries. Looking forward to returning sometime in the future.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect
Distyll is an absolutely wonderful holiday cottage in beautiful countryside. From the moment Jac and I arrived, our hosts Phil and Bev were delightful and so welcoming. The welcome gifts were very much appreciated, lovely bottle of red wine, chocolates and dog treats for Jac. The cottage itself is home from home. Everything you need, comfortable bed, hot shower and very clean. Is was great to come back to a warm, cosy cottage after a days walking. There are gorgeous walks from the doorstep into local woodland with streams running through. Ruthin is a nice little town, which is well located to travel to Snowdonia or the North Wales coast if you so wish. All in all a fantastic stay and will definitely be on my return list. Thank you Phil and Bev for a fabulous week away. Kobe and jac.
Barbara

We had a lovely comfortable, peaceful week at Distill. The annexe was very well equipped and comfortable. The hosts Bev and Phil are really helpful and kindly gave us a bottle of wine and some chocolates. Lovely part of Wales with plenty of places to visit and good walks. We would recommend this property, thankyou.
Hollie
Overall, a great stay! The cottage is homehome with great facilities. The bed is super cosy and Bev thinks of all the extra's with duck or normal pillows! Bev and Phil are both lovely people, warm and welcoming and eager to make sure everything is okay with the property. The outdoor space is lovely and so peaceful listening to the owl's on an evening. Ella and Phoebe loved the outdoor space to explore. Our only minor comment would be about the washing machine, it may be more beneficial to have a washing machine that the guests can use to do their own washing in, rather than your home washing machine, it's quiet personal giving washing over to Jim and wasn't something I was comfortable with! A few tat recommendations the cutlery in the draw, mainly sharp knives are a little blunt we noticed whilst trying to cut veg. a shower caddy would be helpful in the shower. Great stay in your lovely cottage, and a very relaxing break!
Really loved this property. It is a well equipped, extremely comfortable annexe in a truly lovely position, with a superb garden and walks from the house through woodlands. The owners are absolutely delightful, as are their dogs!
Sharon

Beautiful gardens, the cottage itself is spacious Bev and Phil our hosts were friendly helpful but not intrusive, their two dogs Willow and Annie soon became friends.Everything you want was supplied including a treat for us and our dog Lexi would 100 recommend.
Graham
The cottage was beautiful. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We needed peace and quiet after a recent family bereavement and this is what we got. The cottage is ideally situated for great days out and not far from local shops, Aldi, Tesco etc. Ruthin has welcoming pubs and a lovely chinese restaurant. Will be going back in the future.
Amanda
Lovely place to switch off and relax.
Gordon
Cosy cottage in tranquil location. Great area for walking and not too far from beaches.
Patricia
A great place to stay, warm, comfortable and welcoming. Despite the weather we enjoyed our time and hope to return in the summer months to enjoy the lovely garden.
