The cottage was lovely, quirky & comfortable, everything you needed was available including washerdryer, also it had a great bit of history attached to the building. So many walks right outside the front door canal, river, mountains. Chapel Tearoom is worth a visit does GF options. Took a trip from Llangollen railway to Berwyn. Walked from there, over the Chainlink Bridge to Llantysilio Parish Church. Beautiful, snowdrops covered everywhere. Woke up to snow & drove to Chirk Castle. Winter walk around the gardens with our 2 dogs. Lovely food in the castle caf. Unfortunately, we did have a couple of issues at the cottage. The garden is no way enclosed. Also, the gate next to cottage was in use by others to get to canal. However, we both agreed that we loved our stay & would like to book again for another winter break. Having the security of our cars locked in the carpark overnight was reassuring. The lock was a bit fiddly.

We enjoyed the cottage and found it was perfect for a base to explore the area. We would recommend it and we would stay again. L M

Scotch Hall cottage is on the perfect location at Trevor Basin. It's lovely to sit & watch the boats go by. It's a great place for pleasant little walks too. The cottage itself was clean & tidy, the bed I was in is very comfy & cosy. The kitchen has all the cooking equipment & utensils etc you could need. Situated next to the Telford Inn pub is nice too, makes the parking easy & isn't noisy in the slightest. Slept in the cottage very well. It's also historically interesting as it's the original accounts house for Telford to pay the workers who built the aqueduct. It has the original payment window on the door & the till. Wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

The cottage was lovely, cosy ,clean and full of character. Everything you need and beds so comfortable. The area is beautiful and the pub food and chapel tearoom are very good. The host is friendly and gives all Information needed.We had a fantastic break and can't wait to return.

Scotch Hall Cottage is a quirky cottage, full of history. It is warm and cosy with everything you could possibly need The location is superb in a great location for canal, valley, higher moorland and mountain walks. Other centres are easily reachable nearby. We are, as always, very grateful that we have been welcomed along with our two dogs. Thank goodness there are people who are willing to share their lovely cottage. Thank you
