Enia (Lodge 2) Reviews

Andrew
Wow, what a stunning place. Could not fault at all. A beautifully appointed lodge with everything you could need. Clean and warm we went in November and the heating is amazing! Great views over the Clwydian Range towards the right, you can even see Moel Famau. The outside deck with the hot tub is brilliant, even has an outdoor fridge. Highly recommend staying here. We'll be back for sure. It feels really private because of how they're laid out, despite having a lodge either side. We had a wonderful stay. The only minor gripe would be that we felt the check in and check out times were a little lateearly. On the whole however stunning!
Absolutely beautiful cabin, perfect for a peaceful break and leaving all stresses of life at home for a few days, the views are breath taking, hot tub was amazing. Cabin was super clean, We loved it so much we actually booked to come back again in April before we even left

This is a beautiful lodge with a good hot tub. Our only problem was it's location. Although, it was really quiet and we appreciated that, but the location isn't properly signposted. But we really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend anyone to try it for yourself. The lodge was spotless, comfortable and had plenty or room for four people. We did get lost up and down the lanes many times and had to avoid the many pheasants there. It was worth a quiet holiday
A great place, very well equipped and maintained to a high standard.
What an absolutely beautiful cabin with everything you need and more. The views are out of this world and we will definitely be back.
We were very impressed with the property. Had everything we needed and was a great base to go exploring from. Very well maintained and the WiFi was excellent. The only flaw i would say is that they could maybe add a gate so that when on site and outside the dog can be let off without running down the lane. I will add our dog is only young and into everything The families next to us both had older dogs and wasn't as much of a problem for them.

Stayed here for 7 nights with my wife and 2 children. The lodge was immaculatly clean and a nice goodie bag on arrival. Well equipped and they even give you a starter kit for the BBQ. Nice location with lots to do in the local area including the trip across the viaduct. Hot tub was great and has lovely views. Definitely a place we'll visit again.

Lovely area and the views were fantastic, Hot Tub a great plus, Lodge was very clean and tidy lovely towels, grass area in front of Lodge was great for our little dog, maybe could be sectioned off between Lodges, we will book again so peaceful, places to visit around the area few miles away but well worth the journey

The drive to the lodge Enia was along single track roads which would put some people off but once you get to the lodge it was beautiful and tranquil, you have your own privacy duty to how the lodges are situated and you have a little brick BBQ. The hot tub was a hit on the porch. Local town is about a 20 mins drive and easy enough to get to. It was well maintained but some of the blinds were difficult to close in the bedrooms. We loved the peace and quiet.
Beautiful will be telling people about it .

Has always beautiful and weather to go with it. The only thing missing when staying for a week or more is a facility for washing laundry, otherwise absolutely

Had a wonderful stay, great lodge in a wonderful setting.

Had a lovely stay, the accommodation was second to none, just a little bit too remote for me but that is my problem not the owners as it did say. Only thing that ruined it for us was the place next to us liked to smoke the green stuff all the time so we had a continuous smell of it.
Katherine
Would highly recommend this lodge! A cosy clean lodge on arrival. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with the lovely scenic views.

We have stayed in many Sykes Lodges and always been 100 happy but although we did have a good break away we found the Enia had quite a few areas that could have been a lot better. The lounge was v.small and would not have been adequate seating for 4 adults. The spot lights in the shower rooms was very dim.The blind cords kept breaking. The tv in the bedroom intermittent reception as soon as any movement near to it. No where near enough utensils ,or crockery, needing to put dishwasher on everyday. Could do with another frying pan and a small milk pan. No vacuum cleaner for messes,no iron or board .Direction signs needed at the end of the road. Just small things that would have made our stay 100 better. Positives. Beds very comfortable ,hot tub v.clean ,views incredible.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at Enia lodge. It was everything we were looking for to escape our busy lives and just switch off and relax. First thing to mention is that the map on Sykes Cottages doesnt take you to the right place. Best to use what 3 words and type in ship.simmer.frost. Its obvious when youre in the right place as you can clearly see the lodges from the road and theres a clear entrance. Its an absolutely stunning lodge, clean and cosy, and very well laid out to accommodate 4 guests although there were only 2 of us and a little basket of complimentary snacks which was a lovely touch. Having read others reviews, we would agree that space for storage was a bit of a challenge as the bedrooms are snug and with no underbed space, and just a coat hanger rail, it did mean our suitcases had to be kept at the side of the beds that wed have to step over, but there are small drawers in the bedside tables. We used the 2nd bedroom for storage but would be a bit more challenging for a family of 4, but should not put you off staying at this beautiful place! The beds were comfy, I would say theyre about medium firmness, we have a firmer mattress at home but had no issues and had good nights sleep. Mattresses are a personal preference and its impossible to get it right for everyone, so anyone concerned about mattresses should consider bringing their own suitable topper instead of giving this lovely place less of a rating! We do feel that instead of the sofa in the kitchen, it would be a good idea for some kind of wardrobe space to be placed there instead, as there is a lovely sofa in the little snug lounge anyway. The kitchen had everything we needed and all the condiments are provided tea, coffee, sugar, UHT milk, but we did bring our own milk just in case. There were adequate toilet rolls and fairy liquid, sponge and tea towels provided for dishes. We didnt use the dishwasher as there were only 2 of us. One thing we didnt think of to bring was cooking oil for the pans. We only used the frying pan but a small amount of oil would have been useful to have there as the pan isnt non stick! We did go and buy some but the food still stuck in the frying pan, although it helped. The hot tub was amazing! Perfect for soaking after a long hike! Top tip for anyone using this in the winter months and theres only 2 of you, if you only fold half of the lid back it stops the water cooling too quickly, and then you also have a platform to put your plastic glasses on, as there isnt really anything around it to rest them on securely. The floating drinks holder is not worth the risk! We are lucky to only live 45 mins away from this place and we cannot wait to come back again for another escape! Thank you so much to the owners for creating such a lovely place. We will be recommending to friends and family!!

Had a wonderful stay for my 52 birthday. Cabin was beautiful, clean and smelt wonderful when we arrived. There was a lovely welcome hamper on arrival which was a nice touch. Jacuzzi was fabulous, breathtaking views over wales, could see mauf famau. Definitely go there in the future and highly recommended.
Needed a getaway and thats exactly what we had, it was brilliant. The views from the lodges were spot on, the site is peaceful and you have your own private space. Id recommend to anyone, staff were mint. My partner and I will 100 be returning!
Malcolm
What a little Gem of a find perfect in every way, and immaculately clean the hot tub was very welcoming after a day out and we was luckily enough to have lots of snow, but the road from Enia to the main road was gritted really well, would I return here absolutely and we cant wait to return.
Lovely cabin in a secluded spot with great views. The cabin was spotlessly clean with good amenities plus welcome snacks which were appreciated
Alicia
We'd like to thank you for the most perfect break away. Enia lodge was utterley delightful, a most enjoyable stay for our christmas escape. Set in beautiful surroundings, we were greeted by a very friendly pheasant each morning and the politest of sheep. Our little jack russell sat admiring the view along with us and we enjoyed very pleasant walks with him. The privacy of the lodge settings could not have been better, especially as we were holidaying with our 17 year old daughter who did not want to be overlooked as she relaxed in the hot tub. As adults we too enjoyed days and evenings in the hot tub, the lodge provided just everything we could have asked for. Christmas Eve saw us travel the short journey to Llangollen for a spot of lunch. Christmas lunch was prepared as if we were in our own kitchen and we spent evenings in the snug sitting room. With multiple tv packages available the whole stay was perfection! Thank you Enia for a christmas to remember, we will be back. How can you improve on perfection, you can't!
Had a great time here for the weekend. Hosts are great and the lodge was super clean with everything you need. Asked for some banners and flowers for my fianc's birthday and they went out there way to get them and decorate the lodge. Views are stunning and can't wait to return. Thank you for an amazing stay!
We had a great time here for my birthday , we didnt put it in the notes completely forgot but we heard the owners had set up balloons and stuff if it was your birthday and they knew which is amazing. The owners had set up a little Christmas tree and lights along the deck outside which was a nice touch . Cleanliness was absolutely amazing the place was immaculate. The hot tub was clean and easy enough to use too! The owners even left us a little gift pack of local snacks and advice on where to eat and shops near us . Amazing lodge , would come again.
Harriet
We really loved our stay and how beautiful everything was. The lodge had everything we needed. Thank you!

We did not stay in Enia, but pod 3 named Math, which was a last minute change by the site, but on the end,was more to our liking. Scenery beautiful, great local walks and coast not too far away. Beautiful pod, covered outdoor decking and hot tub were great after a days walking. Sadly couldnt get through to Sykes who had sent us an offer for an extra nights stay. We tried over a few days but system kept throwing us out. The owner tried to accommodate us when we contacted him, but Sykes blocked it saying we should go on their booking site. Sadly by the time we were able to it was fully booked which spoilt my birthday plans to some degree. Cant fault the place though,
Great location, stunning views, beautiful Lodge, there was 1 major problem though, and that was the beds, all of had severe back pain, it got so bad that we left 1 day early due to it. 1 person even slept on the sofa due to such severe pain. 2 of us are in our fifties and two are early twenties, but all of us had very bad back pain which just got worse with each night we stayed.
