The cottage really is perfect. all the thoughtful extras are wonderful . walks right on the doorstep mean we haven't wondered too far

We had a lovely week at Tan Y Garth, the cottage and surroundings are idyllic. The trees and the views are beautiful at this time of year and I will miss waking up to those every morning. The cottage had everything we needed and was well equipped. It was perfect for recharging batteries and having a slower paced week. The walks from the doorstep were ideal, especially for our Springer spaniel that fully enjoyed the hills. We would love to go back again.

Great cottage, best equipped we have been to. Walks from the door, lovely area and surroundings. Cottage very cosy and beds great. We have already booked to return. Dog loved it too.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location providing peace and quiet away from the noise and stress of the modern world. Cosy, wellappointed with excellent WiFi and the owners were discreet but available. It was a bonus to have the Llangollen Railway pass close by and the sound of the nearby river Dee was atmospheric and relaxing. The various bird feeders ensured plenty of good viewing without disturbing the visitors. The location was ideally placed for several attractions with plenty of rewarding walks. Hoping to go back again in the future for another enjoyable week.

Another fantastic holiday in this idyllic cottage. Tan Y Garth Cottage is a hidden gem tucked away in the most beautiful surroundings, with lots of wildlife to see and hear, and the trains that run right by the cottage, making for a truly peaceful and relaxing holiday. This was our second stay at the cottage and won't be our last. We look forward to returning soon. What a lovely place, perfect, privacy, there is always a lot of animals you can see around the house. The train pass by the house is magical, my kids enjoy everthing. If you want peace and relax this is the best choice. The owner is very friendly and I wish all the best for them. We will always be grateful for being one week in this gem. For sure we will be back.

This was our first time staying at Tan Y Garth and definitely will not be our last. It is the most beautiful idyllic cottage tucked away from the busy world and just what we needed to relax. It has everything you need and is indeed a home from home. The beds were comfy, the shower was amazing, the kitchen worked perfectly and the lounge was very cosy. We arrived on the hottest day and it was lovely and cool in the cottage and lovely and warm on the cooler days the thick walls must help with this. It is a nature's paradise, from watching and listening to the sheep and lambs, the birds inc woodpeckers, squirrels, rabbits, and the highlight was watching the steam train going past and the pipistrelle bats leaving their nest everying evening to hunt for food. The cottage is ideally located to all the local towns and villages so we took advantage and visited all over from Black Rock Sands in Porthmadog, to Beaumaris in Anglesea to even climbing some of Capel Curig in Snowdonia. Our little dog Schnauzer loved the freedom of the cottage and gardens and was secure with the stock fencing to not have to worry about him all the time. Lovely quiet place, safe space for our 2 labradors. The cottage is wonderful, clean, and comfy. Only neighbours were the sheep and the birds. We stay in cottages twice a year all over the uk, and this is one of the best for a relaxing break. We will be back.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location, stayed for two weeks and didnt hear a mouse.

We wanted to be somewhere peaceful and we got it 100. Amazing location and the wildlife was brilliant. Cottage had everything we needed but could do with a bit of TLC. Light fitting in one of bedrooms hanging out, stain on living room carpet. But these were small things outweighed by overall stay. Also if people are scared by mice then I wouldnt book. They are everywhere at night but it is in the middle of stunning countryside and theres not much you can do about it.

A truly fabulous property. Perfect in every way. The cottage itself is delightful , the setting is stunning, lots to see and do but a large part of the beauty of Tan y Garth is simply to embrace the tranquility from every angle the area is beautiful and wildlife super. Lots of thought and care have been afforded to furnishing the cottage. It wants for nothing . Over the years we have been in many a cottage the length and breadth of the UK and this is by far the Very Best . Thank you P. S. Our dogs just loved it

Well what can I say about this absolutely beautiful cottage, beautiful beautiful location, beautiful beautiful cottage, and extremely nice owners farther. So tranquil, only sound is birds and sheep. Loved every minute staying in this beautiful cottage, see you again next year.

Tan Y Garth is a beautiful cottage, in peaceful surroundings and a homely feel. We absolutely loved having sheep in the adjoining field and watching the birds and squirrels everyday. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable and in a great location. The owners were accommodating and friendly, we felt at home and relaxed. Thank you!

Lovely cottage in stunning location. Very peaceful and away from it all but still close to road network to get around easily by car!. The heritage railway runs across the bottom of the garden and the feeders brought an array of birds. Super relaxing time had by all. Thanks a great stay

Wowwhat an amazing place! Cosy, relaxing and remoteutterly perfect place. The cottage is incredibly well equippedeverything you need that a lot of other cottages tend not to provide. The cottage is so cosy and comfyperfect for relaxing and unwinding after a day out walking. The sofas and beds are also very comfy! There are endless walks from the doorstep, which was perfect! Secure garden which was perfect for our dog, Betty to wander around. The log burner was a perfect addition for the cold temperatures outside. The owner was incredibly helpful and welcoming and was hand if we needed anything. We will certainly be back and would recommend this place to anyone! Dont hesitatebook it!!

The cottage was comfortable, cosy and very tranquil. It was well equipped and many hours were spent enjoying the warmth and crackle from the wood burner. It was a great place to get away from it all and destress. Waking up to the rolling fields and only the sound of a few birds and the occasional sheep, was very peaceful and restorative. The owner was very hospitable and helpful, as well as easy to contact, if needed. For a restful, relaxing holiday, this beautiful spot is highly recommended.

A fantastic gem. The most beautiful cottage and peaceful surroundings. Great place to unwind from day to day stresses. The Llangollen heritage railway running passed the cottage was amazing. We felt like the railway children waving as the trains went passed. Missing the cottage already. Hope to return soon.

A wonderful place to stay, cosy, warm and away from the hustle and bustle of life. A great place to just chill and recharge your batteries, this is our second visit and we didn't want to leave! Very well equipped and everything you need. We recommend this charming cottage

Cottage was wonderful full of character, warm and cosy, lovely and quiet with great views of the surrounding countryside. The birds visiting the feeders was amazing, could have watched them for hours. Included a woodpecker who visited every day. The Llangollen Steam Railway runs past the property on Sundays so we took the trip and had a great day out. Was nice to see the house from the train and wave at everybody. Cant recommend highly enough, we had a brilliant holiday and cant wait to return.

Absolutely love the cottage and location, it was just perfect, so peaceful and idyllic. Cottage was cosy, very comfortable and well equipped. Watching the birds at the feeding station, in such beautiful scenery was a pleasure, as well as seeing the steam trains passing, we both felt so relaxed and refreshed after our week there.

We loved the location and accommodation. Every one we so helpful and nice. It was just what we needed, quite, beautiful views and walks. The photos dont do it justice.

Perfect remote location, not much need for going out in the car sightseeing when you can just go for a walk down to the river or up the mountain. Amazing amount of wild birds and animals. Cottage has all the usual quirks of an old building but with the modern comforts of home. Very relaxing stay, would definitely highly recommend.

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful and peaceful location. We felt very relaxed and comfortable with everything you could need regarding kitchen utensils etc. The stairs are steep and begin very close to the twin bedroom and the toilet shower room is downstairs I somehow missed that even though it clearly says so in the description but everything else was great.

This cottage is a hidden gem,perfect setting and so quiet and peaceful,probably the best holiday cottage Ive stayed in. Will definitely be back.thanks for sharing this fantastic place with us.craig and janet

Utterly amazing break from start to finish. The cottage is beautiful and in the perfect spot for a quiet relaxing time away from the huddle and bustle of normal life. Had to contact the owner about something and they were really gracious even though they had already explained in the instructions how to fix. Loved seeing the rabbits in the field every morning. When we arrived there was a lovely welcome pack along with a bottle of fizz to celebrate as we had explained we were celebrating our Anniversary. Anyone booking this cottage will most definitely not be disappointed

A lovely secluded setting. Allowing us to have a very nice and relaxed holiday. Secure garden for our dog to enjoy some freedom. Had a maintenance issue but was very promptly resolved. Very nice welcome package. What it said on the tin we got.

What an amazing and beautiful cottage. We have had a fabulous week. The setting is idiliac the cottage is beautiful, so cosy. The garden was perfect for our dog and us. It's was lovely watching the sunrise in the morning, listening and watching the various birds visiting the garden. If you are after a secluded, quiet relaxing stay, Tan Y Garth is the place for you. A beautiful secluded cottage which was just what we needed to relax away from the 9 to 5. Our dog loved the garden and the freedom to walk with us on the local paths where no one else ventured. The Llangollen Heritage railway passes close by only a handful of trains a day and we would often get a wave as we sat in the garden. David at the nearby farm was also very friendly and helpful. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal if you want to just stay put and relax. Would definitely recommend if you want to get away from the hustle of everyday life.

The cottage was lovely. . Peaceful quiet and secluded if you wanted it to be as llangollenCorwen etc is only a 1015 mins. We didn't move as we just wanted seclusion, Bliss was the word.. David was really nice and helpful and enjoyed chatting to him. The cottage has everything you need for a week. Prosecco and lemon drizzle cakes where a nice touch, thank you. There is walks from the door into the forest etc Internet and phone reception was good EE If you need.. The track to the cottage is good, no problem at all. What a find Tan y Garth was! Situated in a beautiful location, Tan y Garth is a very cosy cottage which was spotlessly clean and very well catered for. The view from the garden is a little slice of heaven. Hosts could not do enough for us and we appreciated the welcome gift of prosecco, milk and local cakes. The log burner was lovely in the evenings. Although the cottage is in quite a remote area, its only a short drive into Llangollen which is just beautiful. The garden was perfect for our little dog and son to kick a ball about. One of our favourite cottage stays and we will definitely be booking to go back. Highly recommend.

This was a fabulous find. A beautiful cottage in an isolated location. Lovely walks on the doorstep and a cosy cottage with a log burner to return too. Full of character. A great secure garden for our dog to explore. All in all, pretty much perfect. Watching the birds visit the feeders from the kitchen window was a joy. We will definitely be returning.

Have just come back from our weeks stay at this beautiful cottage, we loved the quietness and that we were well away from the rat race. Leo our dog loved having a big garden to run around in and then going for walks without having to worry about cars so no lead needed. The cottage its shelf is very well equipped everything you could need is available, the log burner came into its own in the evenings with no tv on to just sit with your loved one and our fur baby. We would definitely like to stay here again. Also the small touches left for our arrival of tea,coffee, milk, sugar and cake plus the bottle of Prosecco.
