We had a great week at Plas Yn Bonwm. The property was clean and tidy. Lots of basic items were provided which was great hand soap, loo rolls, dishwasher and washing tablets etc. Plenty of tea towels, baths towels etc too. Whilst we were a family of 5, there would have been easily enough room and equipment for a family or group of 8. The games room was a big hit with evenings spent playing pool. The property is old so has a few quirky features but this all adds to its charm. With super thick walls, this did mean that it was generally lovely and cool inside too which was most welcome on the very hot days. The surrounding views are spectacular and whilst located next to a main road you wouldn't necessarily know it as there was little traffic noise. You can get down to the river easily and also watch the Llangollen steam train go past. There's plenty to do in the surrounding area particularly if you head into Llangollen about 20 minute drive. We booked a few water activities such as white water rafting, canoeing over the aqueduct and gorge walking would recommend if feeling a little more adventurous. Corwen is only a few minutes drive in the other direction, where there's a variety of take aways and a Nisa.

From the very start, we knew the owner was lovely. Dave rang me on the day of our arrival to give me tips to find the place and as we were arriving late at night, he went out of his way to place two wheelie bins at the top of the driveway so I knew where the place was. Had no difficulty finding it from his directions and the wheelie bin despite it being very dark at 11pm. From first impression to the end of our stay, the place was clean and cosy. Everything we needed was provided from blankets over the sofas, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets to even a place to put ur shoes and hang ur jackets up by the front door. The next day, we and our two large dogs met John the neighbour and his dog Gracie. Both were lovely during our stay telling us about local things nearby and things we can do as well as making a fuss of my two dogs. Once we met Dave kept missing his visit by being out of the house

We are a family of 7 stayed for a week and had the best time , the property was absolutely beautiful, very clean and tidy on arrival and they had put a Xmas tree up for us which was such a lovely touch . The fire was so nice and kept the house warm. All beds were good size and definitely the best we have stayed in and we travel alot , it really was like being at home . We had some amazing walks along the field , and watched the train go by . The neighbour John is so lovely and his little dog Gracie very friendly , we enjoyed lots of little chats with him and his knowledge of the area. The town has some lovely shops , and food places and for bigger shops it's about 50 minutes drive away . Would highly recommend going to the waterfall which again is about an hour away but so worth it it's stunning . Everywhere is dog friendly , and the residents are lovely The owner of the property David came and introduced himself such a lonely gentleman, he also made sure we had logs for the fire, coming to us in his own time to fill the outside container We have had the best week and will definitely be back Cassie
