Coach House Reviews

Christopher
This is an excellent holiday cottage, with fantastic views. It is very well equipped, with everything you could possibly need, and is warm in the winter and comfortable. It is easy to find, and has lots of secure parking space.
Michael
Absolutely stunning property in a beautiful location. The property has everything you need, things you didn't even know you need, and things you didn't even know you'd want til you stay there. It's in a great location, stunning views of the rolling Welsh hills out of the windows, close to Ruthin if you need anything. Betwysycoed is only half hour away so it's a great central base. Beds are super comfy. Chris was so welcoming and absolutely wonderful and is always available if you need anything. Wouldn't hesitate about booking this property again. Can't recommend it highly enough
The Coach House is a beautiful upside down property. This gives great views across the countryside. The house has everything you need and more, Chris made us very welcome and the welcome pack plus wine was a bonus. You can walk into the countryside from the house which is stunning. It's an easy drive to the coast and historic town of Ruthin.
Gordon
A very comfortable and well equipped cottage with well kept garden and beautiful views from the windows. Helpful friendly host.
A prime location to explore North Wales surrounded by stunning scenery. In addition to that there were a few essentials on arrival and a nice bottle of wine left by the owner which we enjoyed.
Johanne
Just perfect and Beautiful. We stayed here twice in 2025, it was such a blessing to us on every level. Chrissy and Terry were the perfect hosts. We will book again and we wouldnt want to stay anywhere else when in Wales.
Lovely cottage, with amazing views to the Clywdian Hills. However, weather permitting make sure to walk up through the fields behind the cottage to see even more. Chris & Terry were very hospitable and friendly.
Lovely cottage with a wonderful view. The owner opened up the gates for us when we arrived and left a welcome pack, which was much appreciated. Ideal base for visiting North Wales, and would definitely stay here again. Nothing to fault. A thank you to the owners.
Jacolien
What a beautiful house with a great view! A lovely welcome pack was waiting for us. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much!
Kimberley
Lovely cottage with amazing views and close to woodland walks. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and the hosts even left a welcome basket of essentials and an information pack about the local area and anything we needed to know ie WiFi, how to use appliances etc. The hosts were lovely and the communication was great. Beds were comfy and it was the little touches that really made it feel like a home away from home. The cottage was in a great location for us to explore North Wales. I have already recommended the cottage to our neighbours!!
Pallav
A cottage in a beautiful location and quiet surroundings. It was well equipped with all facilities except a dishwasher. It is too cluttered and some cupboards and cabinets were filled with stuff bags with things which could be cleared out to make space for guests to store their stuff. It could do with decluttering and definitely needs a good clean and if guests could be offered a weekly cleaning service then that would have been great. owner was kind and helpful and provided heaters when having heating issues promptly .
Had a very relaxing two weeks. Comfy beds and sofas.Cottage has everything you need to relax and cooking facilities are great.Really lovely area to go for walks nearby and the town of Ruthin is amazing.Owners were very welcoming and helpful.
Thank u Chris & Terry for a great stay in your wonderful cottage. A lovely welcome box was greatly appreciated. The cottage was cosy and comfy and youd thought of everything to make it a happy place. Obviously the views were spectacular and we didnt want to leave to go out anywhere as it was just such a beautiful setting. We shall deffo return and highly recommend
Monika
We had a perfect stay at the Coach House. This was our first visit to North Wales & we weren't disappointed. The property was the ideal size for us, cosy & comfortable along with being clean & tidy. The kitchen was fully equipment with everything we needed for our stay. And the upside down feature was brilliant as we had the most wonderful views looking out onto the stunning Welsh countryside. What a perfect way to enjoy your first cuppa of the day! The welcome pack had everything we needed & just added a personal touch to our stay, so thank you & we would love to stay again.
Malcolm
A lovely place to stay in a fantastic location, with friendly and helpful owners. A very comfortable cottage, ideal for exploring North Wales. Particularly enjoyed sitting outside, having breakfast, whilst taking in the beautiful scenery. Would have no hesitation about returning in future.
This is the 2nd visit to the coach house. I can recommend the cottage, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, the welcome pack is also a lovely addition. If you want a place to stay and don't mind the location, for us it's perfect.
Terrence
Used sat nav postcode to find property which took us as far as Ruthin Sports club then told us we had arrived fortunately we contacted the owner and were able to find via her direction do not rely on Sat nav postcode enter address. On arrival we found the property well furnished and spotless also a very nice welcome pack which consisted not only of essentials but also a few treats, the furnishing were comfortable and also ample selection of cooking utensils and choice of cooking methods or electric oven and hob,air fryer, microwave. The lounge was well furnished and comfortable and the bedrooms had ample storage and comfortable beds, the showeroom was clean and modern and the shower was excellent. We found the Coach house central for visiting the coast and also plenty of places to visit inland, the only drawback was lack of a footpath to the local village along a well used road. We enjoyed our stay at the Coach house and would happily return of we revisit the area. Thank you Terry and Chris.
Absolutely fantastic stay. The whole family loved the coach house and surrounding area. The whole property is so impressive and the welcome hamper was such a nice touch after a long drive. Chris was such a fantastic host and the homemade fruit loaf was delicious. The only downside was the stay wasn't long enough.
We had a really lovely time. Chris and Terry have thought of everything, it was like home from home.stunning views and beautiful surroundings. We would definitely stay again.
Andrew

We had a lovely time staying at the couch house. We had everything you needed and more. Chris was a lovely host and had supplied the basics including a bottle of wine and milk for when we arrived. As it's an upside down property you have amazing views. We would defiantly stay again if we are up that way. Thanks for a lovely stay x

We had a lovely relaxing holiday at the Coach House. We went on lots of local walks then sat on the patio in the sun as we were blessed with very good weather. The accommodation is very comfortable. The owners, Chris and Terry, are very helpful and approachable. Many thanks for the welcome pack.
Great communications with the owners before and during the whole time while we stayed at the Coach House. Lovely gesture of a welcome fooddrinks box waiting for us at the cottage when we arrived. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Loads of leaflets and books for suggested walks or exploring the local area and other parts of North Wales. Chris and Terry are such friendly hosts. They were available whenever we needed to sort a few minor issues. Will definitely consider booking again if we visit this area in the future.
Darren
Chris & Terry made us feel so welcome, When we arrived at the cottage they had put milk and eggs, bread in the kitchen to help us as we arrived to late to go to the shops. The cottage was amazing and the views out of the bedrooms,Kitchen and Living room are just stunning across 10 miles of beautiful welsh hills and valleys. We have already booked to go back in the summer. I would highly recommend this cottage, if we ever needed anything Chris was always there to assist in places to go and where to eat.

Lots of lovely extra touches like exceptional toiletries and welcome pack with Easter goodies and wine. We were blown away with the spectacular views from the cottage. It was everything we expected and more. The inside was so cosy and well equipped.
