Strength Rooms Reviews

Stuart
Great location for walking and exploring the area. Good communication on booking and fantastic hosts. Highly recommended.
Overall our stay was ok. Great location for exploring the coast, spacious ground floor apartment with a nice big bed and plenty of privacy with the windows being so high. It does make the apartment a little dark and gloomy but we didnt mind that so much. We didnt have the best start to our stay, no welcome pack and The Red next door a coffee shop and event space owned by the same owners as the apartment has a late night opening on a Friday with music playing until midnight and then the Saturday night there was a 21st birthday party so lots of noise and people chatting until late for the first two nights. The windows are a little awkward to access, we stood on a kitchen chair to open & close them, maybe provide a wooden pole with a hook? The bathrooms could have been cleaner, the grout needs some attention and the chrome of the fixtures and fittings wasnt polished. The clothes hangers were so irritating, theyre the suedefabric ones that are meant to stop your clothes from sliding but you cant actually get your clothes on!!!! We would return but would opt for a shorter midweek stay and bring our own hangers!!!!
Andrew
Spotlessly clean, well appointed, great location really very pleased with our stay. Recommended 100!
We stayed here in July 2025 with our young daughter. We had an excellent time, it's in an excellent location, just a short drive from Rhyl and with the waterfall across the street. There are lots of things to see and do in the vicinity all within an hour's drive. Facilities were great, was really handy to have a washerdryer in the kitchen. The only downside would be the noise from the upstairs apartments. It's an old building so there are limitations to soundproofing but be aware that if you are unlucky enough to have a heavy footed upstairs neighbour during your stay, it may keep you awake. That being said, it wouldn't stop me from returning. Overall we had a wonderful trip and would recommend.

We had a lovely stay here. Whilst we were happy with most things I personally found that the style of sofa was not comfortable to accommodate 4 adults. Also when I viewed the photos I noted the lovely garden. As the property was listed as dog friendly I was disappointed to find we couldn't sit in the garden with our pet. We were told by a gentleman in the rear flat not to take our dog into the garden. Other than those 2 minor points we loved our stay and would recommend to others
This apartment is extremely clean with very modern fittings. The beds are huge and very comfortable. The garden is really beautiful but Sykes hadnt made it clear that dogs are not allowed in it which rather spoilt our stay as the only place to take the dog after 7.30 p.m. until 9.00 a.m. is the waterfall car park. The apartment is definitely more suited to slimmer, younger people as the shower door is very narrow and the sofa is very difficult to get up from for elderly overweight people!
What a beautiful village, everything you need and more. The village residents are so welcoming and helpful. Strength rooms are perfectly positioned at the bottom of the village opposite the waterfall and seating area, which is very well cared for, The apartment is perfect. We were in dog friendly ground floor appt 2 of which there are 2. The upper floors are not for dogs. Everything you needed was in the apptment. Beds were comfy, bathrooms modern and both had showers, one over bath one cubicle. The only thing that was uncomfy was the low settee with no headrest. We used pillows off the bed. It had Alexa, smart TV and the history of the owners group alarm all over the appt was great to see. Gail, the manager was wonderful and also available in the licensed cafe, the Red, next door, just a putty it wasn't open over tea time, but great coffee and cake, the pub a bit further on opp the church served great food though. We had a great stay, wished we had booked longer, and will be back. Thank you so much for letting us stay
The Strength Rooms are amazing and even better than hoped for. The supporting info was accurate but sometimes the reality doesnt always match up! But not in this case! Really outstanding. And Dyserth is a great little place to stay. Away from the crowds but close enough to amazing beaches and great walks. Dont miss out on eating next door in The Red! Another amazing place THE best toasters weve ever had. All of the above comes with the friendliest and most helpful staff! Highly recommend. Thanks to everyone.
Absolutely lovely. Clean. Beautiful garden to sit in if you just a wine and relaxing. Already past on info to friends and family
Robert
Had an excellent few days in Dyserth. Our accommodation was 1st class, very clean, very modern with nothing missing. Many thanks we will be back.
Deborah
Amazing property, everything is high quality and spotlessly clean. The manager, Gail, is so kind and helpful. She made us feel at home straight away. Dyserth is a beautiful little village and the apartments are right opposite the waterfall. The garden at the back is gorgeous and a lovely sunny spot to sit in. 110 recommended.
The Strength Rooms in Waterfall Apartments is unquestionably one of the best holiday rentals we have ever stayed in, and definitely the best in the UK. It was immaculately clean and incredibly comfortable, equipped with everything we needed and we're quite demanding!. It is a stunning chapel conversion with a pretty garden at the back, and the other apartments in the building we had a peek courtesy of Gail, the manager are even more impressive, especially the gorgeous penthouse. Dyserth is a charming village and a perfect location for exploring North Wales, set in proximity to both Snowdonia and the sea. My husband and I spent a fabulous week walking and mountain hiking, from what is the perfect base for that. Both Gail and Jules, the owner were fantastically helpful and lovely. Completely recommended!
Hannah
Really lovely space, well thought out, clean, comfortable and stylish. Flowers and milk on arrival were a lovely touch.
