The Lambing Shed Reviews

Trevor
All four of us enjoyed our stay at the Lambing shed and lm sure we will back again in a couple of years time.
Dannielle
We loved every minute of staying at The Lambing Shed. Brilliant location, directions given are very precise and helpful, out of the way but close to all amenities. It's very well stocked, had everything in that we needed. Beautiful views, plenty of walkways close by. Owners friendly and helpful, also. We'd be happy to come back.
We were both very happy with this accomodation. The only downside is that the track leading to the property is very rough. This made using either a manual wheelchair or mobility scooter outside the property near on impossible, with the exception of the paved patio area behind the property.
We had a lovely comfortable stay at The Lambing Shed. It was a perfect location and had everything you could possibly need and so much more. A real home from home. We will definitely be back.
This place is just so lovely and cosy stunning walks all around only met Andrew ... It had everything we needed and more. For the price and what is included excellent value for money. The owners live next door and are on hand to help if needed but not intrusive. Very quiet location only a few miles to prestatyn beaches. I would recommend to anybody wanting a quiet stay but within easy reach of a town and beaches and other attractions.
A lovely property, with lovely helpful owners. The Lambing Shed is away from it all but still quite close to amenities. A great place to chill and enjoy the surrounding countryside.

We have stayed at the lambing shed before, but our last stay here was 4 years ago, they only reason we left it so long was because we lost out beloved furbaby Alfie 3 years ago and didn't feel the same without him being there. We now have a new addition to the family called Lupo, so we wanted him to experience what an amazing place this is. When we arrived, it certainly didn't disappoint, I was quite emotional in a good way, bought back such wonderful memories including the lovely Welsh cakes that the owners left for us Andrew the owner popped over to say hello, which was lovely. Such a lovely warm welcome as always. I would recommend the lambing shed to everyone, from the stunning scenery, looking over the woodlands to the fresh walks early morning with the dog just a 30 minute walk into the village such a lovely dog friendly pub called the New Inn. Once inside the lambing shed, just feels so homely, we even used the log burner in the evening which was perfect. All the facilities were Second to None. My mum even made it to stay for a night, which was perfect, she has heard so much about it, so it was lovely for her to experience and nice for me to spend time with her. Thank you again Andrea and Andrew for sharing your beautiful Lambing Shed with us! just one word to sum up is Idyllic. Thank you and we are looking forward to our next visit. The Tramalloni's xx
We all loved the Lambing Shed,it had everything we needed and some lovely additions, fresh flowers, milk ,Welsh cakes etc. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. It is in a very quiet location but within easy access to town and country.
We had a wonderful long weekend away at The Lambing Shed. The cottage is fantastic with everything you could possibly need. It has so much character and charm, and was warm and cosy. It was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The outside space is lovely, with plenty of seating and our two little dogs loved it as it was enclosed. The location is great with lots of lovely walks and just a short drive to lots of beaches. We met the owners who checked we had everything we needed and ensured we were happy. The owners are really friendly and welcoming and happy to advise you about the surrounding area. I definitely want to return and have already recommended The Lambing Shed to family and friends.
Andrew
Had an absolutely great stay at the Lambing Shed, property was very well equipped with lots of added extras. Pictures do not do it justice! The garden is more enclosed than we thought so perfect for our large dog, would definitely recommend and return! Thank you
Stuart

Our visit to lambing shed was a lovely stay , the setting is perfect for relaxing and lots of great walks . Also doggy friendly. Cottage extremely well equipped and clean. The welcome pack of Welsh cakes and milk was very welcome on arrival . Beautiful cottage well worth a visit.
Lovely property, lovely location. Certainly a get away from it all type of holiday. Very quiet and peaceful with everything you need for your stay. Would highly recommend.
We had a lovely stay at The Lambing Shed. It was a great spot for us to explore north wales from, and the cottage itself was lovely and a very comfortable place to stay. Wed love to come back to explore the area further and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit the area!
Sharon
The area is beautiful, so peaceful. We appreciated the support before the holiday to find you and the message to say we were welcome to come in earlier. With us being the only 2 house there we found you got the balance of support and privacy just right. The lambing shed had everything we could possibly wish for and was very clean and cosy. I loved sitting out in the morning with my brew listening to the birds, even heard the woodpecker!! Thank you for your kindness and help when you found my daughter had left her bag behind. Great location to enjoy peace and fresh air yet we'll situated to visit Wales Chester and the surrounding areas.
Another great stay at the lambing shed, nice and relaxing break. Thank you Andrea and Andrew
We had a very relaxing break at the cottage, the location was fantastic, couldn't fault anything, lovely and clean and the owners had thought of everything, we were sad to leave and would love to book again in the future.
Lovely cottage remote enough but still within reach of local areas
Rebekah
Wonderful cottage. Had an amazing stay.
Michele
The Lambing shed is idyllic. We stayed for three weeks while my husband was undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. Warm cosy and full to the brim with kitchen equipment. Thank you to Andrea and Andy for their warm welcome and hospitality. Wed love to come again
Sheila
Idyllic setting for a much needed retreat. Come home refreshed grateful
The Lambing shed is a lovely cottage in a great location. It is quite secluded but near to all amenities. Can recommend Ffrith beach is visiting with dogs. A lovely walk. the cottage is also an easy drive away from Rhyl, Prestatyn, Ross on Sea and Llandudno. Andy & Andrea the owners are very friendly and helpful. Will be back next year
Absolutely stunning! I defy anyone that doesn't decide to book this place again even before their stay is over! Just amazing. Peaceful. Quiet. OMG!! the peace!
We had a lovely time and the owners, who live next door are very nice and friendly. The Lambing Shed was an excellent and comfy base for a bit of exploring the local area. My only small niggles were the TV channels were mostly glitching and unwatchable. I think we found 3 channels that worked, but on the third or fourth day we realised they had supplied a Netflix account which solved most of this. The only other thing we found was the Dishwasher was sometimes problematic and wouldnt always turn on, when it did this we just washed up be hand. For anyone booking the Lambing Shed in the future, they will have a lovely break, we would return without question. Although anyone booking needs to know it is located down some very Welsh single track lanes and at times can result in a long reversing manoeuvre if you are unlucky enough to come head on with another vehicle, so you need to be a competent driver, but its worth it.
Our second visit, and the Lambing Shed was very good again ! Only 2 problems we couldn't get the dishwasher to work, and the last section of the approach road has deteriorated considerably, and needs a lot of holes fillingin.
Jeannie
Everything was lovely. The cottage was warm, cosy and well equipped. The Christmas decorations were an added benefit. It was a quiet location, with the owners over the road. I can't recommend highly enough.
We have stayed at the lambing shed for a number of years, it is so peaceful and is a brilliant location to walk our two dogs Meg and Kendo. the location is also a good base to visit most of North Wales's visitor attractions. enjoyed the stay and will be back at some point next year. regards John & Gill
Jeremy
Great rural position of cottage next to Offas Dyke path. Easy to walk and cycle from and had shed for bike storage. Very well equipped kitchen and lots of maps and local leaflets and books on the surrounding areas. Milk and Welsh cakes included! Good shower, extra toilet and utility area. Comfy beds and warm rooms with individual thermostats. Large patio area, would be lovely in summer. As mentioned by others kitchen taps need changing and larger kitchen bin.
Excellent directions. Beautiful location with plenty of paths for dog walking. Lovely cottage we enjoyed our stay very much. The Owners provided lots of tourist information which was very useful. It was very dark when walking through kitchen to bedrooms with the only light switch being up the steps to the second bedroom. With having an active dog we had to keep the intervening door closed at all times. We did discover the plugin night light which helped. Would recommend this cottage to friends and family.
Deborah
Although we really enjoyed our stay at The Lambing Shed the cleanliness really let it down and it just felt like the whole property needed a good deep clean and some of the soft furnishings replacedupdated.
The Lambing Shed was well equipped and lovely and in such a lovely peaceful area ,the courtyard was beautiful. .The Shower was brilliant .Got online ok ,phone signal was a bit hit and miss the 1st day but after that ,was no problem Our 2 cockapoos, Moose and Daisy enjoyed the courtyard, I felt they were quite safe in there ,but on one occasion,Moose did manage to squeeze through the gate post at the front gates ,this was solely because my husband was on the other side waiting for a taxi , to watch the match at Y Bodunig Inn 15 each way Moose had never tried to squeeze through it before ,and he didnt attempt it again after that one time ,but it did make me more aware .We picked a brilliant week weather wise .You obviously need a car ,but Prestatyn beach is not to far away ,and dogs are allowed on most of the beaches ,they loved running into the sea ,be careful though as there was some very large Jelly Fish . Had a lovely week and would definitely recommend The Lambing Shed ,and would definitely book here again Thank you for the Milk and Welsh Cakes Thank you for having us ,Sue ,Steve ,Moose and Daisy
Lovely quiet and secluded little cottage, just right for our family of 4 and dog. Had everything we needed for a comfortable week away. Great outside space with large patio area but beware the shared use of meadow is shared with sheep, so not suitable for letting the dog off lead. Nice walks from the cottage, good beaches close by Talacre great for dog and good pubs for eating out.
Beautiful cottage with every household item we needed to thoroughly enjoy our stay. The cottage had a mix of traditional and modern decor meaning the cottage was tastefully decorated and furnished but had the added benefit of newer technology that made our stay more comfortable. Great location to explore North Wales from. Most enjoyed catching the morning rays whilst eating my breakfast on the patio which had sun from morning until night and listening to the sounds of the Welsh countryside.
We had a wonderful relaxing holiday. The cottage is so homely and cosy. The location is so peaceful and idilic with everything you need. The owner was lovely and we highly recommend this cottage you will not be disappointed.
Andrew
Wonderful property in a pleasant and quite rural area, Everything we needed was in the property didn't think once oh wish they had this or that some properties do sometimes have some of the basic facilities not available. Considering the location I was shocked at the broadband speed of over 360mb didn't expect anything like that speed for the location another plus point for the property in my opinion you could easily book it and use it to work remotely if you wanted to.
