Cariad Mawr Reviews

Charlene
Really lovely accommodation and perfect for my little break away. Great WiFi and facilities. The only tiny thing, was that the tea and sugar, and the shampooconditionershower gel were all empty. However, I had brought my own anyway so didn't reach out to the host. I'm sure if I had needed these and asked, the host would have supplied. Really peaceful location and all you need for a cosy break away.
Very tranquil and cosy just a couple of miles away from prestatyn and close to rhyl .
Nicola
What a beautiful place to stay. . so relaxing my wife and I along with our little dog had the most amazing stay..... couldn't ask for more as our little dog is terminally ill and it was the best place to spend time with her...We would highly recommend this place if you just want to just get away from it all. 10 out of 10..
Cassie
Cariad Mawr was absolutely lovely! Extremely cold but once you get the fire going, nice and toasty. Just remember to bring some extra fire logs! The view was lovely, walks in the area were lovely, and was relatively quiet for new years, only heard a few fireworks thankfully. Facilities great, storage was great, bed was nice and comfy. The ad had said 'private lawn to the rear' and I'd mistaken that as an enclosed lawn, just so people don't make my same mistake! Was very peacefu

I had a super stay with my little dog here The cabin was perfect for us ... I had a super stay with my little dog here The cabin was perfect for us Really comfortable bed and a decent sized bathroom and shower The outlook was lovely and it was really peaceful too Can definitely recommend this lovely cabin
I wanted to take my other half away for her 60th Birthday,we wanted somewhere that was in nice location, couldn't have chosen a better place than this Shepherds Hut, it's at the end of a road, so nobody goes past, other than the farmer, it's an Ideal place for walks, the views from the S. H are beautiful , you can see the Prestatyn Hills, which you can walk to,via the footpath, which is 5 minutes walk from the S.H. I'd definitely recommend taking a picnic, and walking to Gop Cairn, which is the largest Prehistoric mound in Wales, the views are outstanding . A very magical break, thank you for allowing us to rent your Shepherd's Hut, looking forward to our return visit
Had no contact with the owner which was fine but it might have been nice to get a message to advise us of a few things like how the TV works not someth we were bothered about were to leave rubbish, towels and bedding when we leaving. The only thingnI would say would have made the hut more comfortable would be a couple of drawers under the bed to store clothes, as we had a suitcase and a rucksack with our items in and it would have been hand to put them back in the car once we could empty them.
Vanessa
Had 4 very peaceful nights in this lovely Sheppards hut. Very clean and comfortable. Wood burner made it very cozy . Situated down a lane near a farm so no noise from traffic. Occasional tractor and the only noise was a cow mooing every now and then and the sound of the birds . Walking distance from a very good pub .Great for accessing north Wales coast . Loved it .
Lesley
We were disappointed that there was only 1 chair for relaxing in, from the photographs we were expecting 2. The bed was very high and difficult to get in. A small footstool would have been useful.
Suzanne
We have just returned from a 4 night stay in the lovely new shepherd's hut with our dog. It's very peaceful and we had the whole paddock to ourselves as only 1 other shepherd's hut which was empty. The bed was so comfy. Would make a lovely stay for a whole family in the 2 huts . Local pub is great and about 5 minutes walk away. Dogs only allowed outside though. Lots of walking close by and near to Prestatyn. Suzanne
Heres a review for a luxury hut weekend stay Our weekend getaway in this luxurious hut was absolutely idyllic! The cozy interior, combined with the stunning natural surroundings, created the perfect escape. We loved the thoughtful touches, like the plush bedding and the cozy blankets and indoor and outdoor fire pit.The location was peaceful and serene, making it easy to unwind and relax. We can't wait to come back! Second time back but this time in there new luxury hut I highly recommend this place and will return
Claire
Just had the most amazing few days in this gorgeous and extremely comfy shepherds hut. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, providing us with lots of local information. We will definitely be going back for another relaxing break!
