The area is outstanding for outdoor activity. You can walk or cycle Offa's Dyke Path, try white-water rafting or canoeing on the Dee, or take a canal boat trip across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct a UNESCO World Heritage Site just down the road. Llangollen town is an easy ride away for shops and meals.

Chirk Castle (National Trust) is 4 miles away. Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is under a mile. Wrexham is 7.5 miles. The Boat pub on the riverside comes highly recommended by guests.
