Woodland Pod is a studio-style glamping retreat in the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Located near Corwen in North Wales, this wooden pod sits on a hillside with views across the valley to the mountains. The setting is private and isolated with a large shared lawn and your own decking area.

You're in rolling countryside at the meeting point of five river valleys. Corwen is 6 miles away. Llangollen sits 10 miles distant. Bala and Ruthin are both 12 miles from the pod. Snowdonia National Park is nearby for walking and cycling.

The pod sleeps 4 with one small double bed and one bunk bed in the bedroom area. There's a shower room with basin and WC. The open contemporary kitchen has a combi microwave oven, electric hob and fridge freezer. Electric heating keeps you warm. TV with Freesat and WiFi are included.

Visit Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (15 miles, 25 minutes) or Llangollen Railway (10 miles, 20 minutes). Chirk Castle sits 12 miles away (22 minutes). Snowdonia National Park offers mountain walks 22 miles distant (35 minutes).

Lovely place with amazing view! !

A lovely stay! And the perfect sized pod for myself, husband and toddler. The location and views were absolutely stunning. Wed love to come back to The Hidden Meadow and maybe try one of the lodges next time!

It was a lovely stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it . It was slightly cramped for 4 of us, and we had to live out of our bags as no space to unpack, which we didn't mind as it was only 3 nights. The amenities are all there what you need, though the kitchen was rather chilly in the morningevening. Absolutely stunning views from the decking and hot tub, it was lovely to sit in the tub and look across the valley to the mountains, if you go slightly up the path you can see the sunrise and the mist in the valley. Highly recommend for a long weekend away.

Our only issue was the kitchen area. It was difficult to maintain a clean area due to a lack of cleaning supplies in the pod. We felt that a deeper clean could have been done prior to our arrival. As it's open and insects can get in, we expected some cobwebs, etc, but it seemed like there hadn't been a deep clean for a while, and these had started to pile up. It wasn't the biggest issue, and we definitely enjoyed our stay, just something to bear in mind. The hot tub definitely took our mind off this, and the views from the pod were outstanding. We appreciated the welcome pack and thought it included everything we needed to know. We requested some extra logs and supplies during our stay, and these were promptly dropped off, no hassle. We would definitely stay again, just in a different pod.

Lovely place. Definitely felt our privacy, silence, peace and nature. Nothing was missing from appliances, specially in kitchen everything was there what was needed to prepare food and to cook. Very good oven. Little radiator in bedroom saved us, gave us warmth. Definitely place to stay in warmer months only Will be too cold in winter time. But everything as described and definitely place where to get away specially if you want privacy and spend special time with your loved ones

Lovely scenery, good lighting, sleep pod is very well insulated so its cosy inside no matter the weather, comfortable beds, good WiFi too. Would of been nice as its classed as a luxury pod that you have a welcome pack with a few sachets coffee tea uht milks ect as alot dont do a good shop till they get to the place. Also a dish cloth to wash up with was lacking as do want us to keep it clean as in booklet. Remote control back was missing off one remote and two cracks in glass inside the inner door were noted on arrival in case we where to blame for these, I did a walk through video on arrival for this reason in all properties we stay in. Also a walk through video of how we left it too. Cobwebs all on wall where cooking area is wasnt great. The big bin outside was ok but when we went to put our rubbish bag onto main bins on leaving you have all recycling areas, maybe put a recycling area out side each pod and we could do that as we went along, as I wasnt now on leaving going to go through the dirty bin and sort everything! We Loved the hot tub and good instructions, was nice and peaceful and precise thorough instruction on getting to hidden meadow. Would reccomned this place.

Felt a little insecure as the outside door to the kitchen area didnt lock. Apart from that the kitchen area was very cold and there were dead flies and things all over the window area, and the hot tub took 4 hours to heat enough to get into. On the plus side, single track road in was fun and with different way out meant no oncoming traffic. Nothing around for miles and gated area with key code entry made us feel safe. Overall nice place and would stay again. If seclusion is your thing then this place is a must, not too far from town of BetwsYCoed which we absolutely loved.

Just got back after a lovely relaxing break, it was our first time staying in a pod and also our first break with our dog. Excellent location, stunning scenery, hot tub was great aswell. Great first experience all round and we will be returning soon. Joe was very helpful and quick to respond to messages. Would highly recommend if your looking for somewhere to escape the hustle of everyday life.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Absolutely love it. Fab location for walking Snowdon and then back to chill in the hot tub. I haven't given 5 for cleanliness because it's in the woods it's never going to be sparkling, what would you expect, all the right areas are clean, bedding, kitchen, bathroom,but it's still great. Wow what a beautiful location! The woodland pod is like a little bubble that takes you away from the world and you're surrounded by nature. It's so lovely to be surrounded by wildflowers, trees and livestock. We loved creating a wood fire for the hottub and my dog loved having so much space to run and sniff! The only thing not making it 5 stars was because of the black mould in the bathroom. I could smell it from the bed and it made me a little nervous. The wooden door and other wooden parts just need cleaning properly. Also, it would be good to be given more than one roll of toilet paper for a cabin that sleeps 4 for 2 days. Another great thing was that the handbook was sent via pdf in advance so we could know about the time taken to heat the hot tub water and the best routes for driving to the location, etc. We would love to come back as a larger group of friends and stay at some of the other properties on the same meadow.

Had a lovely 3 days at woodland pod had everything we needed was comfortable and clean loved the hot tub which we had lit prior to arrival which was great amazing views and walks up the hills behind would recommend and already have done and will be returning! ! We had such a lovely time at the lodge and will probably be back at some point in the future. A couple of things that we absolutely loved about the lodge was the cleanliness and appearance as this is really important to us especially as our baby travels with us. The pictures absolutely do it justice especially on a clear day, the view is mind blowing, and the privacy is amazing. A couple of things that we would take note of is that we arrived in the snow and very cold weather, we got stuck a couple of times coming up the very long hill and I wish this was maybe mentioned in the description of the directions as had we been in a smaller non 4 wheel drive car I dont think we would have made it to the top and potentially crashed the car. Another thing that we struggled with although you do state this the kitchen area is very very cold and this was an issue when we needed to pass through or nip into the kitchen it immediately took all the heat from the main pod. I can see that this isnt an issue in the warmer months however it was a downfall for our stay. All in all we absolutely loved the lodge, the hot tub, the staff, the area as a whole. We had such a lovely time.

We had a wonderful stay here at the Woodland Pod on the Hidden Meadow. It was the perfect place to escape to. Facilities were great with everything we needed available for our stay.

Working wifi ideal if you have kids who need their internet Will be coming back 100 Ignore negative reviews, its in the woods, you get flies & insects. Same for any smells. This type of place is clearly not for you, go to a Hotel! Also mind ya head in the doorframe! 5 stars

Arrived to find pod not very clean. Flys in the window, cobwebs and a smell in the bathroom. I heated the jacuzzy took off the lid and found the jacuzzy was dirty had not been cleaned. I could not use the Jacuzzy Very disapointed as the location and views were amasing. I will not be rrturning or recomending this property

The Pod was first class at the top of a meadow with stunning views. All facilities were catered for and it has got a good shower. This is the first Pod we have been on holiday in and I must say we are hooked. A nice touch would be to have more info about the surrounding area and some stickers on the sliding doors as both my wife and dog walked into them. That said I can not fault our time here and would highly recommend a stay for as long as possible as we didn't want to leave.

Property was better than expected. Very clean and even when i had an issue with the hob, there was someone at the end of the phone to ask. The hot tub was wonderful and at perfect temperature when I arrived, even though I was two hours later than expected. The property is very dog friendly and I felt safe letting my dogs explore whilst I watched.

We stayed at woodland pod 2 adults and 2 children and 1 dog for 2 nights and we had an absolutly amazing time. The pod is beautiful and just perfect. The cleaners did a fab job as everywhere was clean and lovely the fridge looked brand new it was that clean. The heater was enough to make it warm and we all had a great time. The hottub was perfect. I phoned to ask if it vould be heated before we arrived and David did this and when we arrived he was topping up the wood. A lovely friendy guy. This made a great start to our much needed break.After seeing some reviews about the kitcehn being partcially opened we were a bit nerous but it has all been filled in with wood so it was closed, which i think made a difference.We bought food with us and cooked in the pod the oven was easy to work all other facilities were perfect!!. Im already looking at dates we can return next year!!

We stayed for 3 days and really enjoyed the whole experience, a couple of issues were the smell from the toilet and the bedding which looked to be ready to be replaced with new. Hot tub was amazing and the views waking up each day were spectacular definitely stay again thanks.

Me and my family stayed in the woodland pod. We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely experience. It may of been one of the smaller pods but set back and high up the views were amazing especially when you're sat in the hot tub. I was a little concerned with other reviews stating there was mould on the pillows but i didn't spot any on pillows, just may be a little on the outdoor seat cushions which wasn't a bother. David was very attentive and helped us in any way he could. It was a brilliant and peaceful stay, we would go back again

I really enjoyed the location of the pod and the view, but unfortunately the pod wasnt clean specially the bed sheets and pillows.

Lovely and comfortable stay with a young family. Well sign posted and easy to find. Hot tub was easy to use and kept heat well, was great temperature by morning for the little one to have a dip too. Lovely open space, safe and lovely little woodland walk. Essentials were provided too which was a nice little touch. Overall couldnt have asked for a better little break with my family. Overall disappointed however hot tub and pod locationscenery were excellent. 2 days before arrival, had to come out of work to be on the phone for over 30 minutes to request hot tub to be lit on arrival as instructed to do on booking information this was not done before we arrived. Therefore took hours to heat up. Was also really Disappointed with what is provided for the cost. Had to go out and buy all cleaning products to clean dishes and general tidying etc whilst we were there. Considering there were 4 girls staying there, we were only provided 2 toilet rolls for the entire stay one small bar of opened soap on sink unhygienic 3 extremely miniature shampooshower gel bottles provided and nothing else whatsoever. Kitchen area was full of flies which is understandable and it is semi open however obvious that there hadnt even been an attempt to remove them before we arrived as there were lots of dead ones too lamp shade in the kitchen area were absolutely filthy full of webs, dust etc really off putting and didnt want to put any of our food on the side. Outdoor area was clean enjoyed the scenic views and the hot tub. For the money paid, think there should be nicer touches and basic cleaning equipment provided or if not should clearly be stated with booking information.

Absolutely loved staying here. Beautiful location. Loved the kitchen being open, clean, tidy, comfy as described. Hot tub was amazing used apx one bag per day. Great location for a base to visit other places in the day time. Wasn't overlooked by anyone, really private. We had a great time at the pod. Really clean which was a pleasant surprise as some reviews said otherwise, it was decorated really well. We had everything we needed in the pod. The views of this property are incredible and the wood fired hot tub was a great touch. Will certainly look at booking the bigger lodge with some friends.
