Ystrad Bach is an absolute gem of a property. Its location is perfect, out in the peaceful countryside surrounded by amazing scenery, but a walk or short drive from shops and eateries. The house is stunning, beautifully decorated, very clean and superbly comfortable. The kitchen is particularly light and airy with everything you could possibly need. We had a fantastic, warm and sunny week so we used the patio all the time, threw the doors open and wandered in and out. We enjoyed visits to Llandudno the pier was great fun!, Dyserth waterfall and woodland walk with hidden caves, Prestatyn beach and also took a ride into Chester that is easily two days worth of sightseeing and shopping do visit The Hole in Wand indoor mini golf, that was very different and very entertaining!. We had a really lovely meal at Con Amici Italian as well as at the Brookhouse Mill, which is only a 10 minute walk away from the property. We did not want to leave Ystrad Bach, it was a week that flew by but had the hallmark of a perfect and memorable holiday. Highly recommend!!

This is such a beautiful house with outstanding views. The attention to detail with the home furnishings was fabulous. The kitchen had such a warm and inviting feel was great to gather and chat around the kitchen table. The bedrooms were comfy and luxurious could not fault them. The town was a short walk away and plenty of things to do and see. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

This is lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting. At this time of the year snuggling up with the log burner and the aga is so cosy. The sunrises are stunning and exploring all that this end of North Wales has to offer is very easy. The hot tub was beautifully clean and super big to accommodate us all.

Our second stay at this lovely large cottage in peaceful location. Baby grand piano and hot tub were a hit with my son and the aga made the kitchen very cosy. Thoroughly recommended for a relaxing break.

Our week at Ystrad Bach has been perfect in every way! It is a beautiful home in a wonderful, peaceful location The owners provided everything we needed to relax, unwind and celebrate with family. Thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen and experiencing cooking with an Aga which was wonderful. Garden is delightful. Location was lovely for exploring on foot and great cycling countryside. We enjoyed good access via A55 and visited Llandudno, Aber falls, Anglesey and Bodnant Gardens.The Lyn Brenig visitors centre was a beautiful location for hiring bikes for a trip around the reservoir, well worth it. The hosts communicated very well and responded promptly with any assistance or information needed. The photos are very good but being there was even better. I would fully recommend this wonderful holiday home and hope to return again.

We have had a wonderful week at Ystrad Bach and would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore the area. Everything in the property is of the highest quality and its perfect as a base for accessing large parts of North Wales we went to Betws y Coed, Colwyn Bay, Bodnant gardens and Manorafon Farm as well as the North West Chester Cheshire. The surrounding Clwydian hills are stunning and very restful. There are numerous walks literally on the door step in the fields behind the house. We have loved our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend it. Thank you very much again

A beautiful property, ideal for touring many North Wales venues Very comfortable with quality furniture and all the essentials required. A great place for our annual family get together.

We stayed for 4 nights with our two children in late July 2024. Ystrad Bach is in a perfect location to visit all local seaside towns such as Colwyn bay, Welsh mountain zoo, Rhyl and Prestatyn. Plus there are plenty of big name supermarkets and takeaway places near by. We recommend the fish and chip in Denbigh. The owners were very welcoming and helpful they live in the property next door. The property is stunning, with lovely decoration throughout lots of wooden flooring throughout but with modern kitchen appliances. The kitchen is also equipped with everything you will need during your stay from cooking utensils, cleaning supplies, kitchen roll and all crockerycutlery. Take laundry detergent etc as the washerdrier is very useful and no washing to take home! All towels and linen included plus a bath mat for the children. The views are also beautiful sitting outside with the fire pit is a must. The children also enjoyed the use of piano and there is a huge selection of board games, books and drawing in the lounge sliding cupboard. The welcome cakes, snacks info pack was a great added touch also. The hot tub was a fantastic added extra though do take flip flops and dressing gowns as its accessed across the gravelgrass at the front of the property. Do watch out for the low beams upstairs if your tall and the bed in the master bedroom is a little un comfy unfortunately. We enjoyed our stay very much and would hope to return in the future to Ystrad Bach

Super! Comfortable, relaxing and well sited for North Wales with easy access to the coast, the mountains and other 'named' towns in the area. Very warm welcome from Gwawr owner who was readily available for support if needed and not intrusive during our stay perfect peace of mind!

Beautiful house with fabulous views and friendly, helpful hosts. Robes and slippers werent provided which is the only negative. Oh and watch for the low beams! Maybe a warning could be placed on the beams.

We had a lovely week with our family. The highlights of the house were beautiful views, hot tub, large kitchen area and a baby grand piano. Loved eating at Con Amici Italian restaurant 5 mins drive away. We enjoyed the Denbigh town centre trail too.

Gorgeous country cottage. Short walk into town. Cottage provides everything required to relax & enjoy your stay. Hot tub was lovely. Owner Gwawr & Andrew are very freindly. Nothing is too much trouble. Beam on landing a little low, hubby & friends husband banged there head a few times, even though they told themselves to 'watch the beam'. We sat outside every night watching the stars. Magi the puppy came to join us on a few occasions she was lovely & friendly too. Overall fantastic few days away in the cottage.

Fabulous house and a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside. Lovely views from the house and great facilities! Hot tub was lovely and private and looked out over the fields. Pizza oven made the best pizzas and fire pit was fun for toasting marshmallows. The piano was a lovely addition and much appreciated by the 3 pianists in the family! Great welcome pack and facilities inside the house! The house is deservedly a luxury accommodation!

Nice property, well equipped throughout, although a mains shower upstairs instead of the electric one would greatly improve the facilities. The location provided on the booking was incorrect, which delayed our arrival, and meant we had to contact the owner for directions, as the written directions did not cater for the direction we were coming from. Its not clear that there is a road directly behind the property, albeit a minor road. There were lots of cobwebs and dust in the upstairs rooms, and a mouse paid us a visit on the last evening and tried to get into the biscuit box! A nice property, with some areas that could do with improvement.

The property is stunning in a lovely rural location with breathtaking views. Every aspect of this lovely home is top quality and has been tastefully decorated and furnished. Nothing has been overlooked to ensure you have a lovely stay. The hot tub is a welcome bonus with lovely views. Also looking at the views whilst relaxing in the roll top bath was a real luxury. The owners are lovely and friendly but respect your privacy. Nice welcome pack, with a home made cake. We have stayed in many luxury properties over the years, but this one is definitely one of the best. We would definitely recommend it to anyone who appreciates staying in a top quality property.

Property was immaculate. It was 2 outside so we burned through the logs the first night. The owner delivered another sack the next day. Amazing sunrises over the Clwydian range. Great indoor outdoor flow would make it a wonderful place to stay whatever the weather.
