Red Kite House is a romantic 19th century former dairy set in 9 acres of private grounds near Bala in North Wales. This spacious one-bedroom retreat sits within Snowdonia National Park and offers panoramic views of the Berwyn mountain range. The property features beamed ceilings and a cosy wood burner.

The setting is spectacular. You'll find 7 acres of wilded grounds with wildflower meadows and a large natural lake. The area is perfect for walking and mountain biking. Betws-y-Coed and the National White Water Centre are both close by.

The accommodation sleeps 2 in one spacious double bedroom downstairs. There's a large bathroom with walk-in shower and free-standing bath. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has French doors to the patio. You'll also enjoy the private hot tub with mountain views and access to a shared games barn with pool table and table tennis.

Bala Lake (4 miles, 10 minutes) is Wales's largest natural lake. Visit Betws-y-Coed (18 miles, 30 minutes) for outdoor activities and waterfalls. Surf Snowdonia (12 miles, 25 minutes) and Zip World Caverns (20 miles, 35 minutes) offer adventure.

Mornings spent watching the birds on the bird table were lovely. The hot tub was top-notch, with a fantastic view to match. We didn't get much chance to use the log burner because the weather was so warm, but that's no big deal. Gail and Jerry were such friendly hosts, making us feel really welcome. Overall, a stay we'll remember fondly!

We had an absolutely top-notch experience. We booked way back in 2019 and then had to wait 2 years to finally enjoy our 'holiday home' because of Covid... but it was definitely worth the wait! The accommodation is beautiful, spacious, clean, comfy and very accommodating. The games room was also such a welcome bonus, providing plenty of fun for everyone. The owners have clearly invested a huge amount of time and thought into their holiday lets, with lovely finishing touches both inside and outside. Highly recommended!
