1 Hendom Reviews

Esther
We had a cosy and relaxing stay at Hendom. It is a lovely cottage with all amenities, and the welcome pack was appreciated. Very convenient for walks and trips further afield. It's worth noting that there is no heating in the bedrooms so these were chilly thinking of guests with children. There was also no bin in the kitchen which may have been an oversight.
Darren
Great place to stay for a few nights. Great views from the cottage and excellent place to explore the local area and beyond.
Matthew
This was the perfect cottage for the two of us on our weekend away. Cosy, clean and charming in a perfect location for exploring the beautiful hills around Llangollen.
Richard
Lovely cosy cottage in an ideal location for walking and local attractions.
Rochelle
We had such a glorious time in a lovely lil spot as a family of four.
Beautiful cottage, the view is amazing, the cottage had everything we needed, we didn't have any sugar for our cups of teas and the owner only lives next door and they provided us with some no problem. It even has fairies living in the garden which my little one loved. The location is great, it feels secluded but its easy to get to llangollen, lovely walks as its on a main road. We will definitely look to stay here again if we come to area again.
Yvonne
Beautiful cottage which was small as stated but had most things you needed. The owners lived next door which was handy if you needed them and they were lovely and helpful . The situation was idyllic with amazing views and felt so peaceful even though you could hear the road it didnt deter from its loveliness. It is close to Llangollen so not much travelling required. Inside was comfortable and cosy and the beds were too. Absolutely would recommend and would go back if in Llangollen again.
Lovely place with lots of character. Had all the home comforts to make for a very pleasant stay. It was especially nice to have all the materials needed for a woodburner fire every evening. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next time we come to this part of Wales.
Michael
A lovely little cottage, very well sorted with everything you need for a comfortable short holiday, we belive IT could not have been better.
Michaela
Homely clean property with amazing views, friendly very helpful owner, good location for Snowdonia & North Wales generally from Barmouth to Anglesey. Children loved it & we would stay again.
Rubina
An idyllic, picturesque piece of heaven complemented by a wonderful couple. Thank you Ann and Stan!
Prakash
The owner of the property was welcoming and greeted us before we go inside the property. The property is stone built and was very clean. Clean bed and clean towels were provided. Ample parking spaces. It was easy to locate the property, I did call owner before leaving and he did provide a POI to look for. Overall it was a good little, quiet place for couples. The property has a back path that gives you access to a deck and a bench to look over the mountain. Only issue was the water pressure it was in the middle just enough water to wash up. Will recommend if couples would like to getaway from the City life and enjoy the quietness that Wales provides. There is an Aldi and Home bargains near by too.
Daniel
Great place to stay, good location, clean and tidy with everything you could possibly want.
We stayed at One Hendom for 3 nights whilst attending a wedding in the area. Sam and Anne were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble, including Sam dropping us at the nearby wedding venue on the day We look forward to our next visit and recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in this area.
Jacqueline
I feel it should be stressed that the stairs are narrow especially the treads and are very difficult to use if you have mobility difficulties. As there wasn't a cupboard in the kitchen area, storage space for food was very limited, as was hanging space for clothes up stairs due to the lack of a wardrobe.
Stephen
We have had a lovely stay here. ..stunning views abound. And a good local pub, the Berwyn Arms..is just a half mile walk from here. Property is a historic cottage, over 300 years old but still very well equipped, perfect. Highly recommended
Philip
This is a lovely cottage with everything you need for a very peaceful stay. The cottage is surrounded by stunning scenery with shops and a very nice town called Llangollen nearby. This cottage is also close enough to visit other attractions such as lake bala and betws y coed . I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a peaceful and relaxing time .
Had a short break at this lovely cottage and are looking forward to book again. So peaceful and amazing views and a 10 min drive from Llangollen with an Aldi and Home bargains where you can get anything you need for the stay.
Nicola
Gorgeous cottage in beautiful surroundings. Lovely and peaceful in the garden but within a short distance from Llangollen. Hosts live next door and are so lovely and friendly, on hand if you need any help with anything. We had such a lovely time and will be booking again
Katherine
The cottage was really cosy and the owners next door were very helpful. Set in a beautiful location surrounded by lots of hills and with a view of the river and steam railway line in the distance. The garden was great for the kids to run around in and had two areas for outdoor dining. A few points for improvement a washing up bowl in the kitchen, as well as a kitchen bin would have been nice. Also the volume control needs to be replaced as certain buttons didnt work. Also, the shower wasnt very powerful. Overall though a great stay.
Jonathan
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Beautiful location, lovely cottage and garden and friendly accommodating hosts. We will certainly be back in the future. Jonathan, Anne, Maj and Daniel from York
This cottage was an absolute delight, full of interesting original features, including a brief history of the building owner has more details if you want. It is fully equipped, spotless, with everything you need and very comfortable. The garden is amazing with two lovely viewing areas down the valley, including excellent views of the Llangollen railway, perfect to sit and relax. Its location is ideal for touring the local area with lots to see and do. There are plenty of shops nearby to buy food and also lots of places to eat. Would recommend Corn Mill in Llangollen. A most relaxing short break certainly hope to return sometime in the future.
This unique cottage has everything you need to enjoy your holiday ideally situated for site seeing, all grades of walking or just sitting and relaxing, with helpful hosts next door. Convenient for food shopping and eating out. In short an excellent holiday.

A lovely place to stay in the heart of the Welsh countryside for a family of 4. Absolutely beautiful surroundings and good links with places to visit. You're within sight of the river and the surrounding hills. The cottage and its immediate surroundings are steeped in history situated on the manor of Owain Glendwyr, one of the last independent Welsh Princes the hill behind the house is probably older still. Very helpful owners we want to return.
We had a lovely time in the cottage and the hosts living next door were really friendly and helpful. It is in a good location for exploring Llangollen and the surrounding area.
Perfect little break away beautiful property the owners Anna and Sam had thought ... Perfect little break away beautiful property the owners Anna and Sam had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable really friendly hosts couldn't fault anything enjoyed every minute perfect relaxing break
Lovely cottage that was part of old drovers inn. Wonky floors and steep stairs.Comfy bed and fully equipped. Everything you need for a break in this beautiful part of the country. Sam the owner lives next door and is so knowledgable and helpful. Dont miss a trip to Horseshoe falls and watch the antics of the whitewater rafting. Then a lovely walk along the canal towpath into Llangollen for a lazy lunch. Car parking is very reasonable too. 3 all day!
Stuart
Wonderful Welsh cottage, full of character. Warm, cosy and spotlessly clean. Set in a beautiful location with easy access to top attractions in North Wales. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The cottage has a great standard of facilities. The beds very comfortable. The TV is better than usually found in a holiday cottage and the kitchen equipment is brand new. Overall a great place to stay to explore Llangollen, the Dee valley and Snowdonia.
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cottage over New year weekend. It has a lovely cosy feel as soon as you walk in. The owners Sam & Anne are very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this cottage.
